wow, first 2 posts then i stopped reading....

while hitler was bad he must not be forgotten, ignored, but remembered, the same thing can be said about the holocaust (why not forget about that too) or countless genocides (stalin, apartheid) ...

this was a bold move from the museum but a smart one none the less ...

I think Hitler was a mastermind..

More leaders like him would be great!

I wholeheartedly agree. But only as long as they have different goals.

Concerning the museum, people that are up in arms about this must be crazy. You can't pick and choose the history of humanity. His time in power helped shape a large portion of the world.

Wow, here is where I leave this conversation. JWJW1 - I am not saying whether I agree or disagree with your post - as I have no intention of offending anyone. But I will say - I have mulled that possibility before.

I am by far not trying to offend anyone..or even suggest it start..its just my honest opinion and observation..I have several jewish friends..and you find they never talk about the stuggles in the bible days of wondering around the desert for 40 years...but will not hesitate to jump to the 1940's.

(only forget what doesn't benefit us mentality)

Assuming your Israeli, judging by your location. "racist and demagogic person"; you know, that description can fit well to Menachem Begin & Ariel Sharon as well. If you think for a minute that the history of Israel is all that pretty when compared to that of Germany, your completely clueless. Hell, there is even Jewish organizations that are for Israel being dissolved.

somtimes i think the jews still need hitler...in order to keep the jewish genocide alive and expect the attention...I think what happen to the jewish people is sad...but no sadder than what happen during the Armenian Genocide....do i think the jews really want 'Hitler' and 'History'..to disappear...i doubt it very much. How else will they bring up their struggle.

If you can't let go, how can you move on?

About my first comment; I never said I wanted to forget him or erase history. To me, it's beating the same dead horse, or German... if you will. I think there needs to be some wax figures picking cotton, and others standing around with whips. I know it's a part of history and must be acknowledged, but it just gets old after seeing and hearing about it ump-teen times. That's all I'm saying.

Indeed, although the Armenian Genocide is a complicated case, one where Turkey denies of its past, having denied the actions of the Ottoman Empire versus Germany that obviously accepts its mistakes and is doing everything it can to make sure that this will not happen in the future, with strict laws, etc.

Is it wrong to display one of the worst leaders in the world in a museum? That's what it's for. You're not suppose to only remember the positive and great things in history, but every single thing to learn from it.

Worst leader? I'd say he was one of the greatest and most influential leaders the world has ever known. What he did was undeniably horrible, but lets not underestimate his leadership skills.

meanwhile, the head of hitler was capped

as i may not answer about that... it was not the whole sentence.

i'm really angry about the beheaded Hitler.

how does it come that people are not able to handle history, even if they werent part of it.

a 41 year old man ripped Hitlers head off. So he was born in 1967 where Hitler and all of his regime were long gone.

Hitler is a part of germanys history, not a good one, but still a part. So the wax-Hitler belongs into that museum.

As someone already mentionend, the setting and presentation was appropriate. He was shown in his last Bunker as a broken man shortly before the war was over and he killed himself. There was a sign which told every visitor that in respect to all the casualties all fotographs and even touching the wax-statue or posing with it were forbidden (despite the other statues in the museum).

btw in Londons Madame Tussauds is a Hitler too...it's part of their history as well.

I think it's strange how everyone can "agree" that Hitler was "evil". Despite the fact I have yet to see anyone define evil.

Hitler only wanted the best for his people, by any means possible, during the process he managed to indirectly kill some 2 million jews (along with some gypsies, homosexuals and others). We can say the active killing of the 2 million people was a despicable act, but are we all that much better? If the only scale we use to judge people is by how they treat other people then we are a lot more evil than Hitler. Why you ask?

We (the privileged west) let millions and millions of unfortunate people suffer and die each year because of our apathetic way of life, because of our egocentric ideals.

Hitler was a soldier that had seen his nation fall from honor and glory, turned into a nation that relied on financial aid just to exist. He saw his nation humiliated and tortured by the French.

All these circumstances along with a mind that was insane to say the least, resulted in Hitler.

How is that we can condemn this madman so easily, but are so hesitant to criticize our way of living?

Hitler was not evil, he was mad. We are evil.

I don't see the big deal in a Hitler waxwork. I'm German and my family were affected by the Holocaust, yet no memories are being fired back. It was a mass slaughter that occurred 70 years ago. I wasn't alive then; my parents weren't alive then. It was a slaughter of all people who belonged to a certain religion, which eases the feelings substantially. I don't have any problem with studying Hitler, or displaying waxworks of him for intellectual pleasure.

In fact, Hitler did have a lasting impact on Germany. Much of Germany's economic strength today comes from what he achieved back then. His ability to rally people around their unfair treatment under Versailles is a direct parallel to how the Israeli government can rally international support due to the Holocaust. The Jews became the new Germans, but their rallying ability extended outwards rather than inwards. Thanks to Hitler, we have greater respect for human rights and freedoms, both when viewing them as individuals, and as a state. We've learnt that punishment must be proportional to the crime for any type of rehabilitation to take place. In my view, the punishment laid upon the German people has been unproportional to their 70-year old crime.

I laugh at people who protest against harmless exhibitions like this. It is there for artistic and intellectual purpose - if you don't get that, and think it's a political statement of some kind, or have hateful feeling towards it, you aren't the intended audience. If you feel these things, you obviously can't appreciate the intrigue in putting a face to the accepted figure of global hatred, in Berlin of all places. It's those idiots that forced TIME to deny Hitler as being 'Man of the Century', when it is clear no man has shaped the century (for better or worse) more than Hitler.

Hitler was nowhere near as "evil" as the people REALLY behind the Holocaust.

Compare Hitler to what is Bush..and do not blow this out of proportion. I'm simply saying there is usually much more to it than the face that is put forward.

If you know anything about operation paperclip you will know what i mean.

High-Five for the wise words, my fellow danishman.

Waxwork Hitler beheaded in Berlin

A man has been arrested after tearing the head off a wax figure of Adolf Hitler at a newly opened branch of Madame Tussauds in Berlin.

The 41-year-old man was held after attacking the waxwork, only hours after the attraction opened on Saturday.

The inclusion of Hitler in the exhibition has aroused controversy in a country where Nazi symbols are banned.

But the exhibition's organisers said they could hardly depict German history without portraying Hitler.

    • Millions of users to benefit from Windows 11's new performance boost on Adobe Photoshop by Sayan Sen Despite the advent of AI-generated imagery, Adobe's Photoshop remains one of the most popular tools on this planet. Adobe does not have a publicly reported total user count but it's probably not wrong to assume there are millions. As of 2025, Adobe Creative Cloud has had approximately 41 million paid subscribers, many of whom likely use Photoshop. In addition, more than 166,000 companies worldwide are apparently also using the app. These figures are according to a very recent report by SQ Magazine. Out of them, it is fair to assume that many are probably running Windows. As such, there is good news for these users as Microsoft has announced Photoshop is getting a big 20% performance boost on x86-64 (AMD64) systems and a 13% bump-up on Arm devices. This is definitely great news for them as many have complained about the slow performance and general sluggishness of Photoshop on Windows 11 ever since the advent of the latter back in 2021. If you are wondering how Microsoft managed to do this, the answer lies in a combination of compiler-level optimizations and a technology called Sample Profile Guided Optimization (SPGO). According to Microsoft, Adobe worked closely with the company’s Visual C++ team and adopted the latest MSVC toolchain enhancements together with SPGO to squeeze more performance out of Photoshop’s CPU-bound workloads. Unlike traditional Profile Guided Optimization (PGO), which requires developers to create special instrumented builds and run lengthy training workloads, SPGO gathers performance data directly from optimized release binaries. This means Adobe could collect real-world usage information which gives a major advantage to this technique, as companies could leverage data collected from actual customer workloads rather than only relying on synthetic benchmark runs. In theory, this should allow optimizations to better reflect how users interact with software in the real world. Thanks to this, there are improvements to code layout, function inlining, hot-and-cold code separation, and other low-level tweaks that help processors execute instructions more efficiently. Essentially the compiler is better able to identify “hot” code paths, those which are most frequently executed, and optimize them accordingly.
    • "The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months¨ I'd prefer to see the lowest price in over a year
    • Glad these prices are starting to come down, but that is still crazy. I bought the 2TB 9100 Pro (slightly more expensive version with PCIe 5.0) last year for $240.
    • The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months by Sayan Sen Yesterday, we covered a really good deal wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for a low price of just $400 with a special discount coupon. That's just $100 per TB, making it a very good offer during these hard times. The deal is still live, so you can check it out in its dedicated article here if you do not want to miss out. Meanwhile, if you don't have that kind of budget but still wish to buy an SSD for a good price, the 2TB variant of the TeamGroup SSD at $280 its lowest price in over three months. Meanwhile, those seeking 2TB but faster performance can check out Samsung's 990 PRO, which has hit the lowest price also in the last quarter or so, as it's on sale for $370 (purchase links under the specs table down below). Thus, you want a faster drive, get the 990 Pro, or you want more capacity, grab the TeamGroup 4TB linked in the first para. The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $500. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more.
