GreenInspiration
Hi! anyone know a reliable program that can test my PC stability? A freeware is good. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647218-test-my-system-stability/ Share on other sites
CrashG
Don't know if this is what you're looking for because your question is kinda vague. Prime95 or Orthos Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647218-test-my-system-stability/#findComment-589532186 Share on other sites

+shift. MVC Posted July 4, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 4, 2008 Prime95 or ORTHOS for CPU as CrashGordon said, Memtest86+ for RAM. OCCT for CPU works as well. I use ATITools to test for artifacting with my GPU overclocks, but I'm sure there are other programs you can use too (there was one with a funky name, but I can't remember what it is) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647218-test-my-system-stability/#findComment-589532277 Share on other sites

GreenInspiration
Prime95 and ORTHOS are not compatible with Vista. But I can use other tools :). +shift. MVC Posted July 4, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 4, 2008 They are, I've seen tons of people use Prime 95 on Vista. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647218-test-my-system-stability/#findComment-589532470 Share on other sites
GreenInspiration
Yeah, that's what I guess since it's portable and support dual core. How long should I leave prime95 running in blend mode, 1hours ? I gave a quick glance at their forum but didn't find the answer. +shift. MVC Posted July 4, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 4, 2008 8 hours stable should usually be fine. I just leave it on overnight so I end up getting like 10-11 hours most of the time.
