-KJ
Hi all, I've been searching around for a slim and wireless keyboard and I found the Kensington SlimType Keyboard. I would purchase this but it isn't wireless. Are there any alternatives as good as the Kensington SlimType Keyboard but includes wireless connectivity? Thanks! +Frank B. Subscriber² Posted July 5, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted July 5, 2008 Have a look at the Apple Wireless keyboard. I'm using the wired version, and it is - in my opinion - the best keyboard I've ever used. MR_Candyman
Logitech DiNovo Edge I own 2 of them, they are the best keyboards I've ever used (and yes I've used the mentioned apple one and hate the spacing between the keys). I love sitting on my couch a few meters away from the computer and controlling my computer. It's great for watching movies/anime/tv shows Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647413-slim-solid-wireless-keyboard/#findComment-589534694 Share on other sites

I have been keeping an eye on that one, but is there one with the touchpad numbers on the side? I can make do without them, but I'd rather have that as well. Is there a slimmer version without all the extra flashy lights and such on the side? The silver strip running along the bottom could go, too, as space is limited on my desk. Thanks for your replies! guru
i think the silver strip is the charger. There prolly isan option in setpoint sw/keyboard to switch the backlight on some keys Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/647413-slim-solid-wireless-keyboard/#findComment-589534725 Share on other sites

MR_Candyman
the strip on the right side is the volume control, you slide your finger up and down to change the volume. The pad below is a touchpad. None of the lights stay on all the time. You press the function key and the F keys get their alternatives lit above them. As far as the aluminum strip on the bottom, it actually makes the keyboard really comfortable to use. I'd hate to use it without. Kupo-Cheer
Is this for a desktop computer, or a laptop? Or maybe a home theater PC? If it's for a desktop (would work for anything, really, but the corded sensor would probably not be ideal for laptops), I'm using the keyboard in the Logitech Cordless Desktop S510, and it's pretty good. It's really thin, light, has excellent battery life (supposedly lasts months, but I haven't had it long enough to know), and it's more minimalistic than most keyboards I see with so many unneeded buttons and features (LCD screen on a keyboard?....). It *does* have media key buttons on the right side. The keys are pretty silent until you've used it for awhile, but then they're just about right to me. Although I'd suggest looking for some sales. I got mine for just $20 after a $10 rebate, when it retails for nearly $50. Just a warning though, the mouse included is merely "okay." It looks decent enough, but it's about as light as paper without batteries, and a little too light for me with them. It also obviously wouldn't be the best for gaming, and I'd suggest keeping your current mouse or finding a better one. But the keyboard itself is pretty awesome.
