Killzone 2

Recommended Posts

Seb Downie, the QA manager at Guerilla Games explains the four difficulties in Killzone 2, over at the SCEA forums;

The difficulty system is not based on enemy counts, but more on damage modifiers and health. The health of you, your buddies and the various enemy types and the damage that all of you deal out. As the difficulty goes up, your ability to Run ?n Gun goes down. You?ll be spending more and more time ducking from cover and recharging. It becomes a lot more tactical and needs a bit more brainpower as you go up. The lower difficulty settings is more for folks who like to storm into rooms, guns blazing. Do that on the harder difficulties and you?ll get more than a black Recruitit

Let your girlfriend play this one, or your mom. Anyone caught playing this for any other reason than seeing if he can get through it blind-folded needs a open-handed sTrooperer

If you are new to FPSs, or haven?t played one since Doom, then you might want to start here. Will provide a challenge in pVeteraneran

Now we?re talking. This is your first playthrough. Hop to it Elite>Elite

(unlocked by completing the game once on any difficulty)

We up the anty a bit and remove your HUD and crosshair. Try that on for size, but don?t come crying to me if the big bad men with the orange goggles take you out back for a proper slapping.

I'm most likely going to be in Uni tomorrow when this gets put up on the store. Think I'll take my PSP to Uni and use remote play to start the download so it's ready for me coming home :p

Andy, you sound like a serial stalker! Plus you both have my Black SuperDry jacket! Discraceful!

Yeah but I have two, one leather and one army style, so therefore I'm better :p My army one has orange stitching too  360 colours ftw lol.

hey DM AB , if you meetup which i think is gonna happen all due to KZ . get a mugshot of you together. (AB , maybe u can try punching him just when it goes click :p )

Pfft, he'll be bowing down to me more like.

I was here first, both on NW and this planet :p

Can't wait to try the demo, what time of day will it be online?

Most likely around normal UK PSN update time (4-6pm). But no one really knows, just don't expect a 12:00am launch, it'll be sometime tomorrow during the day/early evening.

Typical, had to be on the day I'm in uni longest.

Ah well I have the next 4 days to pick it to pieces.

Same :pinch:

11am-4pm, I'll be home for about 5.30. By then the EU PSN will probably be choked with all the fake yank accounts

Just seen the post about difficulty levels, Elite doesn't sound hard at all if thats the only changes. I play like that already on most FPS

Yeah, most console FPS games with their generous "auto-aim" ;)

Well they also change health and damage modifiers etc, just taking away the Hud wouldn't really change much, lol.

Though How do we know how much ammo we have? or is there a display on the gun. O.o

I'm guessing you maybe don't?

In real life you wouldn't know :p

We'll see...

Wtf, you guys don't even listen to how many bullets you're firing in games? Pfft, noobs lol

I don't keep exact count, but I know when I'm low and if I have enough to get one more kill before a reload. I even bug AJ to reload on WaW

Oh man can't wait to take you PS3 gamers on :p

Depends on the game, I can usually tell automatically, though that depends on if I have played the game before a good bit and how many kills I would usually get compared to difficulty etc.

Though I usually just reload after killing a bunch of enemies just in case I run into a bunch I didn't expect and am stuck reloading.

    • I noticed this was already happening within my organization; my teams location will change between remote and on-site without me having to do anything. Is it possible this is live already for select customers?
    • I wonder what it will show when I'm plugged in with my ethernet cable at home and not using WiFi.
    • While LibreOffice is not pleased to see a new competitor, they are absolutely correct in stating that Euro-Office using a MS file standard as a default is not being truly "European." Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it. Your choice MS...
