This guy (I think the thread is removed now) is about to become the most unpopular person ever.

Talk about finding a way to get hundreds of thousands of people disliking you in minutes.

We’ll confirm the new launch date shortly.

It’s unclear at the moment if this means the game is to be completely recalled.

Bunch of bollocks.

Can understand why MM/Sony have to do this in todays age where if you so much as look at the Bible/Qur'an or whatever in a the wrong way you offend someone...

Not being disrespectful to peoples beliefs, but OMG at the over reactions.

It's a ****ing song, it's been out for ages, STFU.

Last time I checked there's a good load of music in Zavvi/wherever that degrades Christianity and puts Satanism on the pedestal. Don't like it, don't buy it.

Indeed, its not their fault, but I'm sure some will blame them regardless.

I'm very much annoyed at this, I was really looking forward to it, but its understandable, people would only pick it apart from the game, and since on the internet the complaining is always seen above the praise, it would do nothing but get in the way.

And really hate you lot that have it already too. :p

Rofl!

I like how he posted his PSN ID

"Oh, people will definitely like me now thumbs_up.gif" Ha, I hope his PS3 breaks down from all the friends request and hate messages.

Lets destroy him. :p

That's absolutely hilarious if true.

Muslims complaining about a Muslim who wrote a song

This makes me want to become a racist.

As Audioboxer has said, there's loads of music that goes against other religions. Muslims are just too sensitive about it and draw negative attention in this way - they're quick to burn a flag but when did you last see someone burn a Quran? I'd say never.

It seems religious tolerance only works one way.

This is Living in fear.

OMG the song was written by a Muslim

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toumani_Diabat%C3%A9

yes, but it is done by Mali musician (muslim), who is world famous and has won an grammy, and song was released 2 years ago and can be purchased on Amazon or listened through last.fm.

That guy wrote it.

This is absolutely unbelievable!

Seems MM already had a patch ready for release date but Sony said no for those Offline customers

As some of you may have noticed, LBP has been slightly delayed in some territories. At MM we were as shocked and dismayed by this as anyone - shellshocked and gutted. We can?t wait for you all to get playing and creating!

We learnt yesterday that there is a lyric in one of the licensed tracks which some people may find offensive, and which slipped through the usual screening processes. Obviously MM and Sony together took this very seriously. LBP should be enjoyable by all. So within 12 hours of hearing about this issue involving a lyric (in Somalian, I believe!), we prepared an automatic day 0 patch and had a new disk image ready; however a decision was made within Sony that the right thing to do for quality and support of people with no on-line was to replace existing disks. They assure us that they are doing everything in their power to get things straightened out as fast as possible, and will announce dates soon.

Apologies to everyone excited to play the game and I can assure you that when it arrives, it will be worth the wait! We want everyone to be able to enjoy the game, and this tweak should help - we?re just gutted it couldn?t be sooner. MM continues to work hard to support the game too. We know that LBP will be something that you can enjoy for a long time to come, when all of this is forgotten and all that remains are thousands of incredible levels and creations to play, create and share.

[EDIT Sony are going to announce new dates and information re discs for each territory soon. We?ll keep you posted! The patch is ready from our side and I imagine it will go live at the same time as the game. More info when we get it. ]

This part suggests online gaming delayed until new release date to:(:(

I don't want this song patched out my game :(

It's awesome!

Indeed it's quite annoying that it's getting patched out :( Oh well I guess we best make the most of it whilst we can. Although pretty peeved at it delaying the online aspect again :(

i cant wait for it, so just paid more than i should of for it on ebay. immediate dispatch!

plus, i hope they make the patch an optional thing. it doesnt offend me so i dont want it out of the game. not sure how this would affect online compatibility though...

and, shooting people in the head might offend some people. so what, **** 'em...

Told you it would happen, not so haha now is it with your "*bleep*" jokes :p

Nah I knew it would happen, I was just trying to be funny by suggesting a method of how they could patch it ;)

Does anyone have a YouT00B link of the song in question?

This is the song

http://www.last.fm/music/Toumani+Diabate%2...Niang?autostart

Although I'm 99% sure that version is slightly different. I'll boot up LBP in a few and check.

Reading the Neogaf thread on it, some guy has posted that if its pushed back to the 14th in America, that it coincides with.

WoW: Lich King

Call of Duty: World at War

Mirror's Edge

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

Surely that can't be a good thing, the release was before all the well known games were coming out, now it sin the middle of them.

This might sound stupid, but when the servers go Live, we are not going to lose all of the progress we made in the Story mode right?

The reason I ask is I am guessing our progression on the Beta might have been linked to the servers, which is why I did not carry over to the retail version, or are they just two separate entities?

No you won't!

We lost progression in beta because it was an old build!

Cool, just wanted to check and then double check, cause that would have sucked!

bugger, i cant even get the ones off ebay. my payment was just refunded with a message saying the games been recalled (which we all know).

maybe the merchants who sold early will really get caught out when they return their stock less the few that they've sold already...

    • I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.

    • Mozilla highlights Firefox Nova 2026 redesign and more upcoming features with new roadmap by Sayan Sen Last month Mozilla confirmed that Firefox was set to get a major redesign this year. Dubbed "Project Nova", it can already be tested and will roll out to all users later this year. The idea is to keep the browser competitive in a rapidly evolving internet landscape. As such the revamp focuses on improving privacy, usability, performance, accessibility, and customization. Key privacy features including the built-in VPN, private browsing mode, and Enhanced Tracking Protection, will be more visible and easier to manage, while users will have the option to disable AI features entirely through a dedicated kill switch. Additionally, the redesign promises faster page loading, the return of Compact mode, expanded personalization options, and stronger accessibility support. You can find the full details in the dedicated piece linked above. In a new blog post today the company once again reiterated on Nova and also emphasized other new and upcoming features like the settings revamp that is intended to make it easier for users to understand browser settings. In order to make it simpler for users to keep up with such features Mozilla today is launching Firefox roadmap. Hence enthusiasts and interested users will be able to check out what's cooking and also share feedback about the upcoming additions. Alongside the roadmap announcement, Mozilla also highlighted what's new in Firefox 152. One of the biggest additions is the arrival of Tab Groups on Android. The feature, which has already been helping desktop users organize large numbers of tabs, is now beginning to roll out on mobile. Users will be able to group related tabs together, assign names and colors to them, and return to them later. Mozilla says support for iOS will arrive later this year. Firefox 152 also introduces the aforementioned redesigned Settings experience. The company says the changes are meant to make controls easier to find and help users discover features they may not have previously known about. Existing preferences are not changing, though they are now better organized. Another notable addition is the new Blocked Tracker Widget, which provides a visual overview of Firefox's privacy protections by showing how many trackers have been blocked over time and the types of tracking activity the browser has stopped. Looking ahead, Mozilla revealed several upcoming roadmap features. They include customizable keyboard shortcuts, as well as enhanced PDF editing tools that will allow documents to be split, merged, and reorganized directly within Firefox. The company is also working on bringing Multi-Account Containers into the native Firefox experience thus removing the need for a separate extension. Meanwhile Firefox's built-in VPN is set to expand to mobile devices. Mozilla is also developing AI-powered features like Quick Answers, which can provide concise responses to voice queries, and Smart Window, its optional AI browsing experience that is now available without a waitlist. Finally, a new Power Saving Mode is in the works and will help reduce the impact of resource-heavy tabs on mobile devices in order to extend battery life. The video below summarizes the upcoming changes in an easy to understand format: You can find the announcement blog post here on Mozilla's official website.
    • Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
