It makes me (and others) want to tear my eyeballs out after a while, especially while browsing the forums. Their old design was a much better color and didn't cause eye-strain.

A moderator has responded in their forums saying the old layout isn't coming back. I've purged my account. Maybe I'll recreate it when they decide they've made a mistake. Maybe not...

I like the update a lot better :yes: So much easier to navigate than the older site (not that it was difficult, just some things were hidden away).

The thing I dislike most is the way they've organized the new layout. Instead of having similar things grouped together on a page (friends with the shoutbox on the right, your personal info on the left with your groups and tags, and all of the music information dominating the page in the middle), everything is all over the place. The artist pages could be a lot worse, but like the rest of the site I don't feel that there's any kind of design at all. It feels like they threw it all together and didn't take aesthetics into account at all; there's no color scheme anymore. Besides, the player is too big, doesn't match the rest of the site, and causes Firefox to be unresponsive.

tl;dr: They released the beta too soon (which they have admitted to) and caused more problems than they solved. They could have fixed the few things that were wrong with the old site, but nooooo...

While it could still use some work (it looks very "blank" and I don't quite like the rough edges style), I like it better than that last one.

Personally, I enjoy the new layout more because of less colors, so i focus more on what i want to see rather then the color.

Don't be a dolt. Google provides a different service and doesn't require that I sit and stare at it for periods of time.

When I first saw it I hated it, but after having a little more of a browse the layout is distinctly more thought out. I can tell that a lot of effort went in to making it usable and intuitive. Suddenly, I appreciated the visuality of it more. Nice work Last.fm! :D

Personally I prefer the style of the old one, but I prefer the functionality of the new one.

Shame they can't merge the two - and oh, I want my black back!!! :p

wow this is such a step downfrom the last layout. What were they thinking? It looks like some advertising "squat" site used to Hold a domain. I wouldn't pay for that service when myspace does this for fee.
