L3onheart
Before when i wanted to use the 'ping' command, i could just open up the command prompt and just type it, whatever my path was. Now i get this: C:\WINDOWS>ping 'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I have to actually go to C:\WINDOWS\System32 so i can run the ping command. Ping, tracert, any other command that would normally be in the system's path. My guess it's that somewhere along the lines, the system's path's got misconfigured or something. Anyone had this problem and knew how to fix it? I'm running WinXP Pro. Joel
Did you change any of your Environment Variables?
+BudMan MVC Posted March 9, 2003 MVC Share Posted March 9, 2003 Your environment variables can be changed in system, advanced. Also typing just path will give you a list of your current path.
L3onheart
Thanks :) By setting the path using "path C:\Program Files\Common Files\ACD Systems\EN\;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS" solved the problem :) that ACD Systems one was already there so i thought i should leave it alone
