Yes , Sunbelt bought out Kerio and now markets it as Sunbelt's Kerio Personal Firewall. I used to use it, it worked great.

You never heard of it because its new. They just continued on the version number from their antispyware product.

It will be interesting to see how good this AV becomes.

I did run some malware past this product. Malware that Avira / Kaspersky and ESET NOD32 detected.

But VIPRE failed to detect any of the 5 samples, so it's not a great start.
