Lots of talk of the Green Lantern Corps what with the pics of various GL's, but other Corps will be in the series as episodes arrive (2nd film starts filming this summer) so here's a primer based on the various ring colors, their controlling emotions/forces & oaths. Should give a head start -

? Green Lantern Corps (green ring - willpower)

In brightest day, in blackest night,

No evil shall escape my sight.

Let those who worship evil's might

Beware my power--Green Lantern's light

- Green Lantern Alpha Corps (Internal Affairs)

In days of peace, in nights of war,

Obey the laws forever more.

Misconduct must be answered for,

Swear us the chosen--the Alpha Corps

? Star Sapphire Corps (violet ring - love)

For hearts long lost and full of fright,

For those alone in Blackest Night.

Accept our ring and join our fight,

Love conquers all with violet light

? Sinestro Corps (yellow ring - fear)?

[yellow is also kry to the villain of the movie: Paallax]

[also note that Sinestro is a Green Lantern that goes off the reservation sometime after Hal Jordan joins the Corps]

In blackest day, in brightest night,

Beware your fears made into light

Let those who try to stop what's right,

Burn like my power*... Sinestro's might!

["my power" becomes "his power" when recited by other members of the Sinestro Corps]

? Black Lantern Corps (black ring - death)

The Blackest Night falls from the skies,

The darkness grows as all light dies.

We crave your hearts and your demise,

By my black hand, the dead shall rise

White Lantern Corps (white ring - life)

The Entity bonds with several characters in an ongoing story arc : Brightest Day?

? Red Lantern Corps (red ring - hate)

With blood and rage of crimson red,

Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,

Together with our hellish hate,

We'll burn you all--that is your fate

? Agent Orange (orange ring - avarice)

AKA?Larfleeze. In the Blackest Night story arc his ring splits, and the 2nd ring selects Lex Luthor as its host.

Oath unconfirmed in canon, but hintrd at "MINE!

? Blue Lantern Corps (blue ring -hope)

In fearful day, in raging night,

With strong hearts full, our souls ignite.

When all seems lost in the War of Light,

Look to the stars, for hope burns bright

? Indigo Tribe (indigo ring - compassion)

Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur,

Natromo faan tornek wot ur.

Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur,

Taan lek lek nok--Formorrow Sur

[within the Indigo oath is the name of Abin Sur - Hal Jordan's predecessor. Indigo-1, their leader, describes him as being her "savior"]

MTV caught up with Blake Lively (who stars as Hal Jordan's love interest Carol Ferris in the upcoming Green Lantern) at a recent press event. Lively had some interesting things to say about her possible future, if there are indeed sequels to the Green Lantern.
"There are lots of winks toward the audience, you know, if people like this movie then we will do more and, you know, my character Carol Ferris turns into a villain that challenges and fights Hal Jordan... with some CRAZY costumes. I mean costumes like you guys will have in the cage today."

Directed by Martin Cambell Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond and Mark Strong as Sinestro is slated for release here in the state on June 17th.

    • I noticed this was already happening within my organization; my teams location will change between remote and on-site without me having to do anything. Is it possible this is live already for select customers?
    • I wonder what it will show when I'm plugged in with my ethernet cable at home and not using WiFi.
    • While LibreOffice is not pleased to see a new competitor, they are absolutely correct in stating that Euro-Office using a MS file standard as a default is not being truly "European." Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it. Your choice MS...
