Alright people, development of the Classix web page is underway and the masses will actually have a say in some things, namely the order in which the different color schemes are implemented.

First off is Blue because, well you figure it out.

If you want to participate you will need to be subscribed to the Classix mailing list (link in sig) and will need to send an e-mail to classix-d-request at xnyhilo.net (you know the drill). If you post in here concerning it I will most likely ignore you just because you have a reading/comprehension problem. Get it? got it? good. :D

What about my startbutton?

It's simple.

OMG That start panel looks awesome how can i do it like thatis there anyway ? or can i download it :woot: :woot:

Well, that'll probably be a ModPack if he wants to get permission to release it. It'll have to have a readme though.

I hope he gets permission to release, I want my start panel like that

corona:

I don't want to get permission from giga or [saint dark] 'cause I respect them and love their works.

If everyone mod their work and release it, what will happen?

I've modded it because of korean font and wanting to use the screen wider.

And for personal use only.

Ntl if you want to mod the theme privately, refer to :

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=...4&t=67353&st=30

And If you want change image files its very easy with photoshop.

I'm sorry but we have to respect authors and stop teasing them, iguess.

I dont like this one very much, its just to plain looking.I wonder why so many people like it? Maybe if you made look glossy like blue luna i could warm up too it.All these flat coloured themes are boring. Why not just use classic.I want my luna themes to have some flavour.

Hello! There's a reason we call this theme Classix and not "Flashy Luna-y Crazy Weirdy Gel-y Thingy". We want it to look a bit like Classic, but to have a modern and nice design feel to it, and keep minimalism at it's best. If you would look at my desktop in the previous pages, you would see that it fits with what people use. Now if you want to release a ModPack for people that actually want that then ask gigatexel first. I wouldn't release it yet seeing as though the theme's not at least as bug free as Windows XP can make it.

 Well to be quite honest, the theme wasn't created to please you. There are plenty of glossy themes out there already, however some of us prefer (always or at times) a simple, yet stylish theme that doesn't distract from the task at hand (whatever it may be). *shrug* To each his own.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
