Thantos Posted March 10, 2003 Share Posted March 10, 2003 Hi i just got into my comp after a major screw up... i was wondering if there is a way to restore a whole registry from an exported one? Ive tried just importing it but it says some of it was unable to be restored because it says some are still in use... Does anyone know a way? Thx! Firecat Posted March 11, 2003 Share Posted March 11, 2003 You could try booting into windows using the "Last Known Good Configuration" option. John Veteran Posted March 11, 2003 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2003 i know there is a command line option for regedit to import registry settings, maybe you could try booting into safemode, ending explorer.exe and doing this. just might work, but i'm not sure...
