So I need some tips on an extremely active server with some proper wait times

It'll cost you. Pick one with a queue but be prepared to wait when you want to get in though.

We're starting to get 10+ T4 scenarios a day now on Eight Peaks. Battles are often closely fought between the two sides as well and most of us are coming out with a quarter of our RR bar full (I'm RR22) and 13k XP.

The price we pay for this is a 700 person queue! :|

You do need to find some friends though. 4 people can change the outcome of a scenario. But if you PUG it you will likely loose because people seem to have the combined IQ of a goldfish.

you give them too much credit

if i had fraps and recorded the scenarios i did tonite, you would lose a lot of faith in the human race

I have no idea what you're talking about, almost every group I'm in knows what they're doing. I have faith in the human race.

Me too. They're doing an excellent job of fixing any bugs (far better than AoC was doing at launch) and the game is just so fun.

My main is a Shadow Warrior. While I generally like being a melee DPS class, I'm having the most fun with this one.

Oh, and they have definitely fixed the lag-out issues I was having, and it's not just a temporary thing.

It looks like I'll be switching over full time from WoW

The only thing I ever heard from AoC was that GM that had cybersex with someone...really shows class XD

Melee DPS is the thing...Myself is a Witch Elf, alright and fun class(except that my character looks like a ######), hit Rank 20 yesterday and getting my bum towards 21.

Its fun, and different from WoW in some ways. =)....

Scenarios are fun too..not really gotten much into them

Tiandira - 20 Witch Elf - Dragonback Mountain (Brokeback mountain..amirite?) EU

Can you guys post some of your specs that you are running the game on? I am going to be building a new computer end of year so I can truly enjoy the game (stopped playing recently because the lag really ruins the game) and want to see what specs work :)

Thanks

AMD Athlon 4200+ 64 X2 2.2GhZ Dual Core

ATI X1950 Pro 512 MB DDR3 PCI-E

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x86

Running it at 1360x768 on max settings with partial lag, always turn off the heavy memory using processes before I play it.

I REALLY wish they would improve the models for the elves, both realms. The way the males run makes me delete the toon after mere minutes. And I thought the Blood Elves in WoW were gay.

Loving the game though, most fun I've had in an MMO in years. Just wish I could pick one class to stick with...so many incredible options to choose from.

I totally agree!

Really want to play a Shadow Warrior but the animations / models just look like pure crap. Plus they need to add some proper hair for the males, from behind they look like women, which is also contributed by their bodies looking like a copy & paste from the female bodies with "Size +2".

Though most classes seem to bore me,

16 Zealot

16 Warrior-Priest

15 Chosen

14 Witch-Hunter

9 Marauder

6 Black Orc ( Current )

Every time I hit the Tier 2 Battlegrounds everything just grinds to a halt, the insane waits times and win rate goes belly up. I hope the ability to join all battlegrounds from where you stand will make the Black Orc more enjoyable, though its annoying to be more dead than alive due to the fact Destruction seems to lack healers big time. Annoying the Order healers are much more attractive to play.

Also, why are chat channels so dead?!? Also, a lot of people in game come off as elitists; the PvPers from WoW (no offense if anyone here is a PvPer from WoW, but most of them are asshats). Some things really put me off from this game. I got upto level 24 and it has been so quiet ever since I go into Tier 2. Scenarios have long wait times, fewer people are around, and the game just doesn't seem that fun anymore.

It was boring for me until I joined a guild; and it is true that NOBODY uses the area channels, unfortunately :/

I know what you mean. I made a female Shadow Warrior simply because a male would have looked like a female anyway

That, and I was running out of cool-sounding male names to use (and the random name generator tends to have names I can't even pronounce).

Mythic is apparently in the process of taking down suggestions from the player base on what they want implimented in the chat system. Most people want a zone-wide chat, much like what is in WoW, instead of being limited to the little sub-zones as it is now.

Also, what servers are you guys playing on? I've been bouncing around a bit, trying to find one that is active, yet not too terribly overpopulated.

also theres the fact that trial accounts give infinite accounts to gold spammers.

im not against them, i just prefer when they give the actual game players the keys for trials instead, if you can give 5 or so trials in a month that would be preferred.

oh god

i can't believe the amount of gold spamming i get

i've stopped playing WAR all together till they fix the ignore list and people figure out how to do the BGs (or scenarios whatever they're called in this game)

i thought this was going to hold me over till WotLK but i was wrong

the UI interface is also terrible imo

can't even click on a players name in the chat window to send them a tell..... :|

WAR WOW (spaces don't show....)

Same game amirite? Not doing everything Blizzard did makes the game fail amirite?

Two different games....I don't know why people keep comparing them. Go at it at a different angle instead of...a game to keep me occupied until Wotlk, you're bound to hate it with that kind of an attitude.

    • I think he means you haven't reviewed previous UFC games. Of course it doesn't matter... Every time you just report on something that involves the President even if just simply what happened you guys usually get accused of being anti-Trump. We live in fun times.
    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

In addition, new settings in Gaming & Performance introduce AI taskbar pin toggles, options to remove AI apps, and controls for AI services and scheduled tasks, allowing users to better manage how AI components run in the background and appear in the system. For advanced users and IT professionals, Winhance integrates WIMUtil, a tool for creating custom Windows installation ISOs with automated configuration. You can generate autounattend.xml files, inject drivers, and apply your chosen Winhance settings automatically during installation. Most changes are non-destructive and reversible, with clear explanations in the GUI. Whether you’re optimizing a single PC or managing multiple systems, Winhance delivers a faster, cleaner, and highly personalized Windows experience. Winhance 26.06.12 changelog: Features Builder Mode — build a Winhance config file or autounattend.xml without changing anything on the PC you're sitting at. Flip the new mode switcher to Builder, set everything the way you want it, and save the result as a Winhance config or an autounattend file ready for deployment on other machines. Sponsors & Supporters page — the exit donation dialog is gone. In its place, an in-app page (heart icon or the More menu) recognizes the businesses and individual supporters who keep Winhance free. It works offline and is fully localized. Change History — Winhance now keeps a receipt of everything it does. ChangeHistory.txt records every setting change (before and after values) and every app install or removal, with clear headers for config imports and bulk actions. Open it from the More menu. Hebrew language support — Winhance is now available in 29 languages. New Explorer customizations: desktop icon visibility toggles, This PC folder visibility, an icon cache size setting, and automatic thumbnail cache cleanup. New "All apps view" setting for the redesigned Windows 11 Start menu, and the Windows 11 system tray icons setting is now a dropdown with more control. App-local UI zoom — press Ctrl +/-/0 or use Ctrl+MouseWheel to scale the whole app, just like a browser. New External Apps: EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, Rockstar Games Launcher, PowerShell, and Helium Browser. Bug Fixes Layouts no longer clip when the Windows text size slider is set above 100%. Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent — error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features — they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
