I notice it says June 2008 at the top of the description. It might eb released in august but it doesn't mean its the august version...

They just didnt update that part of the description, the last webupdate and redist was in June, the file is the latest one.

Anyone see a Redist yet? I can't install the web installer for some reason on Vista, first I got a could not connect error, now I got the can't download the version info error. Bleh.

I've been checking for the redist.; still no sign of it and I doubt Microsoft updates their servers on weekends; but you could extract the August 2008 SDK, the redist. is bundled with it. Of course that download is 463.5 MB.

i checked this one it is June version not august cause the last time i update was with June version now i used that one it says that i have equal or newer version

i was able to download it & install it without any problems but i perfer the offline installer

You must be the only one that this has happened to, as I have tried on 3 different systems, my own and two friends, and all have updated, whether it be a couple of files needed downloading on my own to practically a full download on one of the laptops.

I installed this on my desktop and laptop - as it was downloading, I see the "(August 2008)" update parts.

Maybe thats the limit of my hardware, the latest files in dxdiag is dated 06/07/2008(June) after installing this August 2008 update.
