One thing that does annoy me

EU = ?9.99

US =$14.99

wtf???!!!

Why does that annoy you? Since when has anything ever been a straight conversion from US$ to GBP? Do you do the same thing at the petrol pump? Or when paying your utility bills?

It really annoys me when people do this.

Utilities and fuel have transport costings etc but this is pure data. Should be equal, imo.

Theres no shipping and disc pressing costs. Most of the other content is roughly the dollar equivalent or thereabouts.

Why would it not annoy us? I've seen $5 games costing 7.99?, it's ridiculous and annoying for consumers.

Due to taxation I'd suppose, European countries have a higher standard of living and make more thus they have to pay a bit more as well. It's all to balance it out, how would it look when an American that makes less than the average European have to pay the same?

taxation is a legitimate reason I'm sure, but then the further question... How come steam doesn't charge extra for EU customers?

You guys make more money, have better standards of living, etc. etc.

If things in America cost as much as they do in Europe, our economy would be far worse. The standard of living here is less, and we make less money. (N)

Not to disagree with you, just asking, what's the average income around where you live?
