Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty

Recommended Posts

Never got a chance to post back with my impressions as I played for about 40 minutes then had to go out for awhile, but I am thoroughly enjoying this game and feel it was well worth the cost, as it really truly is the same as the retail version, obvious different being it is just not as long. But everything is done with the same exact quality as Tools of Destruction.

Another thing I really like is so far it borrows from the Mario 64/Mario Sunishine approach with the progression. Basically you are on an island and have several different things to unlock on that island in order to progress further on the island itself and open more areas. So while not completely open ended, you can approach certain things as you want. It just allows for exploring a bit like you could do in Mario 64 in the "main" area.

That is just one reason of many that I definitely like it. really a great visual style which itself is extremely impressive to view.

A very classic 3D platformer, and aspects of it are executed extremely, extremely well.

I completed it yesterday, the game was very short. Felt like i was only playing for about 2 hours. Still the game was great and pushed the story along. For Ratchet fans i'd recommend it

Hmmm I think I played for more than that but the first time i picked it up I was kind of distracted. Was definately nice to see the continuation of the series, and I got a chuckle everytime Rusty Pete would come on when they showed the map.

It's like that all over the world for the love of god, stop feeling so targeted.

Christ, British people some time

You didnt read WJ's post? From US/Japan to UK there is sometimes a 66% mark up on an items price and thats a lot when the cost is ?150 in the US (~$280?). Thats just ridiculous.

Its the same in many European countries, as well as Australia. This is the reason i can't afford any techonology x(

I haven't finished it yet, but I got a little frustrated when I kept falling off certain ledges heh.

I should be done with it soon. I really loved the pirate stuff from the original PS3 one, so I'm totally loving this.. hic!

Yeah I finished it as well, well worth the cash to me, and I would say I definitely got closer to 4 hours out of it than 3. I also do take my time in games like this and explore a bit and do not just blow through them.

    • BS, I've yet to run into a typical pc user that uses it at all, let alone half the population.

    • The site is pretty sparse on features / tech specs. Can I plug it into a PC/hone/Switch via USB-C and use it as an external display? If so, what's the virtual resolution of the screen, the refresh rate, PPI of the image etc? Is the text crisp enough to use for coding at say 12pt? Is it good enough for playing dark games, like say Path of Exile 2? How about fast games like car racing games? Just how do they expect anyone to order this thing without giving out all this info?
