    • It's great, an example that should be followed by every developer, and embraced by the console manufacturers as well.

    • It's OK, and I wish there were more developers willing to do this, and I wouldn't mind if the console manufacturers eased their attitude towards emulation.

With the current thread on classic games going on over in the Gaming forum (check it out!), I thought I'd see how people on Neowin feel about this phenomenon.

Personally, I think many more companies should follow the examples set by Cinemaware, Factor 5, Core and Rockstar. Even those could heighten their rank in my eyes by releasing more complete collections, with every version of all the games they choose to release. Cinemaware are the best of the lot in that regard, while Rockstar and the guys behind Enemy Nations certainly shines by releasing entire CD games.
