Those sure ?look Humanoid to me, didn't they say they weren't going to have Humanoid aliens until the 2nd season or something? :|

Still, can't wait already!

I believe what they said was this show won't have any humanoid aliens in the sense that there won't be any aliens that are just actors with prosthetics.

Rush is a lying bum! The aliens clearly have a way past Destinys defenses. I didn't expect the Rush storyline to be wrapped up so soon though. Chloe getting captured was way too predictable with that whole damsel in distress thing. I'm glad it was resolved quickly. The last thing we need is another weak ass villain (*coughAtlantiscough*) who's a former crew coming back for revenge in hybrid alien form.

Best line of the episode:

"Report!"

"Bad and more bad"

First episode I watched

Intriguing, but human politics / stupidity is boring. Oh, but they're the ones with the guns. blah blah blah, **** you

Boring as in... I've seen it enough times

The fighting and aliens were interesting, would've been more interesting if the "for the sake of the crew" was actually a uniting factor. Silly humans

Then again, I've only watched one episode, but I don't like the human business as I said... Liked Stargate SG-1 because it was all military, so there wasn't a huge amount of time spent wasted on that. Although later seasons did have that stupid unit of government whatever

Wow! It's about time eh? By far the best episode. The whole thing with the communication stones caught me by surprise. I never thought it was compatible with aliens. Makes you wonder why something like that never happened in Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis.

Because it was never in the script until now, obviously :p

I know that. And I just remembered why something like that never happened in SG-1 or Atlantis. The communication stones need to be initialized by someone with an Ancient gene. Aliens, like the Goa'uld and Asgard, don't have the gene and can't use it without the help of a human (with the gene). I wonder how the aliens in the last episode were able initialize it.

Anyway, I can't wait to see Julie McNiven. She's a beauty!

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines. How were they able to project into the aliens minds without the aliens not having the stones? My guess is that the stones have that ability for a limited range and it was tapped into by whatever that dude's name is by accident. It's a different spin off the the old concept. This show will have to do stuff like that to be successful instead of rehashishing previous plot lines. Look at the Stark Trek series, they rehashed similiar plot lines. A little is OK, but do something different with it.

It kinda goes along with what Rush was saying. If you remember, heck if I remember correctly... Rush said something about the aliens wanting Destiny and her secrets. Maybe what he meant to say was that they want Ancient technology. Perhaps what they did with the communication stones was activate some hidden function or "alien mode" that allows the stones to be used between two highly different species. Or maybe they reverse engineered it and created their own version. In any case, the aliens we saw in the previous episode seem to know a bit more about Ancient technology than the people aboard Destiny. They were able to send a communication back that was translate to English (or Ancient, if Destiny auto-translated it to English). Also, they were able to bypass Destiny's shields. Of course, that could be intentional to allow shuttles and whatnot to pass through the shields without any problems.

They were able to send a communication back that was translate to English (or Ancient, if Destiny auto-translated it to English).

But they had Rush, and they have some kind of telepathic devices. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to say that they could have used the neural interface to do the translation.

I was referring to the "Surrender" message. Eli sent a greeting message to the alien ship in Ancient and it replied in English.

Yeah, but they'd already got rush from the planet and had been probing him since they got him

    • Nvidia GeForce NOW gains support for seven more games as discounts continue by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There's a brand-new update rolling out to Nvidia's GeForce NOW streaming service, and like every week, that means more games have received support on the platform. This week's drop has additions like Aphelion and Pro Cycling Manager 26 attached to it. Don't forget that the GeForce NOW summer sale is still active too. This limited-time offer drops the 12-month Performance membership from $99.99 to $64.99, saving members $35. At the same time, the 12-month Ultimate membership is currently going for $129.99, dropping the price by $70 from the original $199.99. Moreover, Nvidia reiterated that support for GOG single sign-in and game library is incoming this summer, joining stores like Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, and Xbox. "Connect supported game store accounts and stream titles with GeForce RTX power. Games that include cloud-save functionality help keep progress intact across devices," added the company. "Start a game on one screen, pick up where playtime left off on another, and spend less time managing installs and storage space." Here are the games joining GeForce NOW's supported list this week: Embers of the Uncrowned Demo (New release on Steam, available 13) Pro Cycling Manager 26 (New release on Steam, available June 15) Aphelion (Steam) Citizen Sleeper (Epic Game Store, Free from June 18-25) Megastore Simulator (Steam) OPERATOR (Steam) Super Meat Boy 3D (Xbox, available on Game Pass) Keep in mind that, unlike subscription services like Game Pass or EA Play, a copy of a game must be owned by the GeForce NOW member (or at least have a license via PC Game Pass) to start playing via Nvidia's cloud servers. There is also a limit to how many hours subscribers can use the service per month, with extra time being purchasable in chunks.
