  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

Not a bad episode I guess, I wasn't expecting an alien presence this early. They also appear to have ftl without a hyperspace window; granted it's different, but it's the same principle. Given they don't use hyperspace and they aren't using a fabric of warped space like destiny, that has to lend itself to time dilation.

Technology aside; oh hai! we've met before... or close enough anyways. Maybe one of those pods did make it ;)

Left: SGA episode season 5 episode 15, right: obviously SGU season 1 episode 11

Ah, the Sekkari. I remember them from that episode. I don't think they're the same aliens we saw in SGU because according to that SGA episode, they've been extinct for a very long time.

I dunno Anaron; if one of them made it, that's a long time to evolve back into a useful silicone based life form. Remember the seed carriers were meant to promote the development of silicon based life forms, this doesn't mean they would be the Sekkari to the tee after so many years.

I like the speculation anyways :p

i liked the episode but the ending felt too rushed (no pun intended =P)

wtf was with that last little ship going to hyperspace by itself? lame attempt at tricking us that it was rush's ship, and then they make rush board destiny in one of those ships and nobody noticed it

Wow, are there people still watching this? I give it 2 seasons before it's canceled. They managed to turn a great franchise into a soap-opera crap. The young and the restless on a space ship. Pathetic.

For me, SG-1 was absolutely amazing, I watched all 10 seasons 2 times so far. I like Atlantis too, although it took me a while to get used to the new characters. Speaking of, THAT was the way to go with a new SG show - introduce the new characters via the old, familiar ones, in SG-1. Make the transition easier. In this Universe crap, we got 20 teenagers on a ship from the start.

Whatever...

I think it's generally obvious that wasn't Rush's ship, the size difference alone would have shown that. It's a trick that's been used often enough in TV that you had to see it coming and people noticed his ship docking with the Destiny. That's why the Lt and the sargent were waiting at the tunnel when they cut in and Chloe fell through.

ya, I am an SG-1 and Atlantis lover, and I absolutely love the direction they are heading with Universe. I could not see them making another show following the same format the previous 2 did (after all that's why Atlantis got canned so young)

I disagree. Atlantis was canceled for no good reason, people were watching and the ratings were fine.

As for the direction of Universe...what's that? A show with crybabies, with many inconsistencies and question marks and with absolutely no connection to the Stargate world except for the stargate itself and the ancients. The cast is all wrong, I didn't like ANY of those new faces, the transition from Atlantis to Universe was none, the atmosphere is exactly like Galactica...come on. They tried to merge Star Trek Voyager with Battlestar Galactica and they failed completely. Of course, there are people that like it and that's normal, but in my opinion (and others) this is a waste of time and a disgrace to the Stargate franchise.

I am waiting for the Atlantis movie and the new SG-1 movie. At least I'll see some familiar Stargate faces one more time. :)

a good intense episode but I was left feeling with the thought that Young needs to gtfo

I really liked the ep because Young finally dropped the hammer and really drove the point home that he's not putting up with their crybaby crap anymore.

At least the post-season break seems to have breathed a little life into the series. It was fast becoming stagnant between Eps 3-8 at least. What did happen was just enough to tide me over until now. They better have changed it for Season 2.

I think Universe is a good direction for the series. Atlantis was off to a good start but the formula rather soon died off. I think it would have risked killing the entire series if they decided to continue with the "Hollywood" style action formula.

I think you have gotten the entire Universe thing wrong. They are not crybabies. They are for the most part normal people who got in the situation they now are in. We are seeing them develop their ranks and coping with the situation. I like this because we don't know where it is heading. And them reviling the aliens so late was good. I hate it when we know these things too fast. Sure it worked for SG1 and Atlantisk, but as I wrote earlier, it might have stopped the series permanently.

I loved SG1 and really liked Atlantis until season 3. They messed up from there. Universe have a fresh start with a lot more possibilities and opportunities.

edit: Also have to add that the OST for Universe is amazing!! I almost get chills for every episode. The pop songs is mostly hit and miss though.

I don't know why the military is in command honestly. There has been no enemy to protect the people from up until now and honestly, the military needs the civilians alot more than the civilians need them. At least with Atlantis and Sg-1, you could see the benefit of each side helping each other. In this case, the way they've set it up so far, what's to stop a civilian saying no I won't fix the air scrubbers, I won't grow us new food, we'll all die if you don't accept civilian control..shooting your gun isn't going to make you get more air.

    • Glow 26.10 by Razvan Serea Glow provides detailed reporting on every hardware component in your computer, saving you valuable time typically spent searching for CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other stats. With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system. Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes. No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions. Glow 26.10 changelog: New Features The bootstrapping algorithm has been completely redesigned. The software can now launch directly without requiring TS Preloader. As part of this change, the startup splash screen displayed during initialization has been removed. In addition, spikes in CPU usage have been eliminated, resulting in a more stable architecture with significantly lower memory consumption. The Microsoft Office detection infrastructure within the Operating System section has been enhanced. Additional detection support has been added for Office C2R (Click-to-Run) installations. Furthermore, the license status evaluation system has been improved, and the priority order has been revised as follows: Licensed > Grace Period > Other (NOTIFICATIONS, EVALUATION, etc.). Glow now includes preliminary support for Wi-Fi 8 technology, allowing more detailed information to be displayed for Wi-Fi 8-compatible network adapters. Glow now provides full support for Bluetooth 6.2. Adapters supporting Bluetooth 6.2 can be analyzed in greater detail and with improved accuracy. The disk distribution view in the Disk section has been modernized, replacing the traditional table layout with a new 2×2 card-based design. The TS Custom Controls module has been updated to v26.7. Thanks to the new custom controls, all Türkaysoft applications now offer a more modern and consistent user interface aligned with Windows 11 design standards. Bug Fixes Potential line-ending handling issues in the Office detection code within the Operating System section have been resolved. Additionally, the output format has been standardized to UTF-8 to prevent character encoding issues and ensure consistent data processing. Several stability and file management issues within the Debugging infrastructure have been addressed. Problems that prevented new log files from being created after Debugging was disabled, as well as issues causing debug records to be lost, have been fixed. File deletion and reaccess issues that occurred after file locks were released have also been resolved. In addition, a bug that caused newly recreated log files to remain locked after deletion has been eliminated. Unnecessary blank lines within debug logs and the extra empty line that could appear at the end of log files have also been corrected. A shortcut key conflict caused by assigning identical hotkeys to both the DNS Test Tool and the Donation page has been fixed. The DNS Test Tool can now be accessed using CTRL + Shift + D, while the Donation page is available via CTRL + Alt + D. Changes The service responsible for providing the Public IP Address and Internet Service Provider information in the Network section has been updated to use the ipinfo.io infrastructure. This change improves the accuracy and consistency of the displayed data. (No external requests are made while Hiding Mode is enabled.) Some terms in the Dutch and Korean language files have been updated to make them clearer and more user-friendly. [TS Updater] Before the update process begins, users are now prompted to choose whether they would like to view the release notes. Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error. Download: Glow 26.10 | 1.8 MB (Open Source) Links: Glow Homepage | Screenshot | Github Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
