I am waiting for the Atlantis movie and the new SG-1 movie. At least I'll see some familiar Stargate faces one more time. :)

You're going to be waiting a long time buddy, I'm pretty sure both movies have been cancelled. There's been no news about them being made for about a year now. They tore down the SGC set to create the Icarus Base for SGU and for the past few months they've been auctioning all the SGA and SG-1 costumes and props (including pieces of the SGA set) on eBay. http://shop.ebay.com/propworx2/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A2528&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_sop=1&_sc=1

Most importantly, most of the actors have moved on to other projects so it's going to be almost impossible to get everybody back at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have new movies, but if you look at the facts, it seems highly unlikely.

As much as I liked SG-1 and SGA, I'm loving the direction SGU is heading in.

Oh yeah and I voted for Young because Rush is a jerk. This whole rivalry thing was taken to a new level because of Rush planting that gun in Young's room. It's all his fault. Stargate has always been about the military and I'd like to continue to see the military in command.

I don't know why the military is in command honestly. There has been no enemy to protect the people from up until now and honestly, the military needs the civilians alot more than the civilians need them. At least with Atlantis and Sg-1, you could see the benefit of each side helping each other. In this case, the way they've set it up so far, what's to stop a civilian saying no I won't fix the air scrubbers, I won't grow us new food, we'll all die if you don't accept civilian control..shooting your gun isn't going to make you get more air.

Which civilian would give up their own life? Military acknowledge it from their first day of service.

I really like the new direction things are going. The previous were decent, but not great. I only watched it because it was different than what I was used to with SG-1 and Atlantis. The past two episodes, though, have been amazing. I absolutely loved them. The next episode looks like it could be good, but no aliens or space encounters is like taking away the icing on a cake.

As for who should lead Destiny, at first I would have chosen Young. Heck, up until the last two episodes I would've chosen him. I think Rush has what it takes to lead Destiny and to get things done. He seems to know a great deal about the ship and even knew things about the aliens that attacked them (thanks to the "direct neural link" between them). I don't want to see Wray in power. She probably has some hidden IOA agenda.

+1

So far: SGU 1.5 > SGU 1.0. I hope it stays that way.

I think she has some value as a neutral tool for Young or Rush to use regardless of her agenda. Military or otherwise people don't see her going to extremes (even in this case, most people will attribute it to Rush) so that's a good thing for her, but it wont be enough to make her a leader.

Shows really picked up last couple of episodes, id like to see Rush take control and i think he will for a while because the show seems to move very quickly, and we havent seen him in total control yet. Itll probably end up where he starts realizing hes no different than young, or another mutiny will start to take control away from him. I think its great though that theyre being attacked by aliens and theyre still at eachothers throats =D

    • Are they marketed as an entry into astronomy or astrophotography? I do astrophotography. With big rigs, lots of computers, cables and headaches. I love it. And by learning this ridiculously complex hobby, I’ve learned about the objects I’m shooting. Astronomy followed from photography.
    • Microsoft confirms Recycle Bin bug across all versions of Windows by Usama Jawad A couple of days ago, we reported that the latest Patch Tuesday update has seemingly resulted in a lot of issues for many users, including OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, and BSODs. Although Microsoft is yet to acknowledge these bugs, it has confirmed another, relatively smaller issue across all supported versions of Windows. In an update on its Windows Release Health Dashboard, Microsoft has confirmed that after installing June's Patch Tuesday update (KB5094126), you'll experience unexpected behavior when leveraging Recycle Bin. Basically, when you attempt to delete an item from the Recycle Bin, the confirm dialog will show you the internal file name of that content rather than the actual name. For example, the file may be named abc.png, but the confirm dialog will ask if you're sure that you want to permanently delete $Rxxxxx.png from the Recycle Bin. This is pretty much it for the scope of the bug itself; it just displays the wrong name in the confirm dialog. The correct name will be shown in the list view of the Recycle Bin and if you restore the file, it will return with the correct name as well. This issue affects pretty much all supported versions of Windows client and server, including: Client: Windows 11, version 26H1; Windows 11, version 25H2; Windows 11, version 24H2; Windows 11, version 23H2; Windows 10, version 22H2; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 Server: Windows Server 2025; Windows Server 2022; Windows Server 2019; Windows Server 2016; Windows Server 2012 R2; Windows Server 2012 As things currently stand, Microsoft is working on a concrete solution that will be released in a "future" Windows update. It remains to be seen if the firm will wait till the next Patch Tuesday or roll out an out-of-band (OOB) fix. The good news is that commercial customers can deploy a workaround right now, but they will have to reach out to Microsoft Support for Business for additional details.
    • They said by this time everyone will have flying cars. WELL...
    • A study by physicist Henry Tye of Cornell University suggests that the universe may not expand forever. Instead, it could eventually stop expanding, begin contracting and end in a "Big Crunch" roughly 20 billion years from now. Maybe not as we now know that time can flow backwards.
    • Of course. Simply reverse the polarity.
