LeviS LoVEr Posted August 26, 2008 Share Posted August 26, 2008 there was something like autonine, after executing which i used to get a list of softwares which i can download easily in fedora and the software will manage all the dependencies.. cudnt find it on google either... i had this on my previous system which i formatted.. softwares included were like audio/video codecs, VLC player, real player etc etc.. dont remember the name of the software correctly... if somebody having any idea abt this please provide some info or a link.. thanks a lot... markwolfe Veteran Posted August 27, 2008 Veteran Share Posted August 27, 2008 Ubuntu has "envy", is that what you are thinking of? Fedora uses "yum" as its package manager. You are probably best off using that. The Fedora FAQ site lists common items like fonts, codecs and so forth, and how to best get them. Other that, it is just a basic yum install vlc to get VLC.
