Do you have to buy OEM?

What sites can you buy from? If you're not buying from a site, is there anyway for you to list the components you can buy?

[edit]

i dunno why i have everything in ? when he wanted €

wasn't paying attention =P

Doesnt matter if the CPU is made for gaming or not, any CPU can game. The E2200 is based on Conroe core of the Core 2 Duo, i used to game on an E2160 fine.

As for ram it doesnt matter if its 800Mhz its not like he is going to be overclocking and memory speed makes negligable difference on gaming performance.

When is a processor ever "made for gaming"? Processors are general computing tools..they're never specifically designed for a specific task. The only valid point in that post is that the processor might be slightly holding back the higher end GPUs, which doesn't appear to be a factor in this case at all.

well truloy speaking gaming wise lets leave that aspect a side ill forget gaming, not interested coz got an xbox360 so shud have mentioned before but otherwise no one seems to have answered my maion question yet will mac os x laopard runn as smooth as it runs on a mac.

That video card is weak.

I would pay a few extra bucks and get Vista Home Premium... or not, if you don't care.

The CPU is "OK"

RAM is kinda slow

Would you consider building your own? You will get SO MUCH MORE for your money.

No point to be a smartass. You know what I mean.

Horrid graphic card, horrid CPU and horrid ram.

To OP get anything around those specs:

CPU: E8xxx or E7xxx or if you wish quad get, Q6600 or Q9xxx

Graphic card: nvidia(from worse to better): 9600GT/8800GT/9800+ or ATI: HD3850/HD3870/HD4850/HD4870

RAM: At least DDRII 800Mhz, don't buy any slower ram. 2GB or more - what is most common toady is 4GB of RAM.

The rest is up to you.

Good luck in your purchase.

can you even explain why is this one better then the other one price wise. pelase

Better hardware, better software.

With the computer I linked to, you get the Quad core (9300) over the E2200. Although the 9300 is the slowest quad core, it's by far faster than the E2200. More cache, higher clock speed, a faster FSB and not to mention two more cores.

You also get the 3450, which is also better than the 9300 GeForce. This is important if you're planning to game.

You get Vista Home Premium instead of Basic. If I were to go out and buy Vista, it would be either Home Premium or Ultimate. Basic is not something I would want to spend hours a day using.

The only downside I can see is half the RAM. 4 gigs (IMHO) is just fine for Vista, esp with a quad core CPU.

HAHHAHA! That's the one I linked you to. Yes, that would be MUCH better than the original you chose. For sure worth the extra 100 C thingies.

Actually, an E2xx0 overclocked to 3+ GHz will not hold back the video card. So even though I might've been a bit sharp on the way I worded it, it continues to stand. A "budget" processor may not have the stock MHz or the cache as the E8400, but once it's overclocked and the system is running properly the GPU will carry the load anyway. So sorry for being a smartass, but we get enough of marketing from the marketing departments. We don't need that here.

RAM doesn't have to be DDR2-800 if the OP isn't overclocking. No processor today has a stock speed of 400 MHz nor does running the RAM any faster net real world gains.
