Back, been out of town for a few days.... Saw both games though. We did a superb job defending and we did what we had to do.... I agree that the atmosphere was amazing and hopefully we can produce something offensively at the bridge.

Man Utd and Arsenal was a bore fest.... Who else thinks its funny that fergie hasnt started his "star 4" together =P

I am quite letdown by Arsenal's performance... So few shots on goal.

+1 I can't understand what greater incentive can there be than being in that semi final and having a shot at the biggest trophy perhaps in club football in the world. the performance was uninspired..

Utd are in a stronger position now.. all they have to do is sit back and get a clean sheet.. all pressure is on us..

i hate to burst everyone's bubble and kill their dreams but ill go ahead and say it on the record...it will be another chealsea/man u final

the fact of the matter is arsenal is 2nd rate and doesn't stand a chance after that showing, and if barca doesn't fancy scoring at home with all that possession they won't do it at Stamford bridge. taken down in the same fashion man u did last year.

Yes it was, but my god please don't defend Chelsea vs Barcelona as "exciting" or something. That game was absolutely dire as well.

Probably be Man Utd vs Chelsea final. Or Man Utd Barcelona, with no away goal for Arsenal it's going to be tough.

These have probably been the worst Semi Final's I can ever remember.

What annoys me though is the British commentators try and mask it all to the viewers. A number of times the game yesterday was referred to as a "brilliant" and "scintillating" game. Was it balls, I was bored off my ######. Another thing that annoyed me is that they also kept saying how Arsenal can walk away from Old Trafford happy that the score is 1-0. Why would they be happy? They lost the game without scoring an away goal, something which you would imagine Man Utd will do at the Emirates.

God what a crap game for us last night. 1 shot on target :( we need Arshavin for champs league. At least the 2nd leg Ferdinand might not be playing so their central defense will be slightly weakened. We seemed to keep going straight into Vidic and Ferdinand because Walcott didn't get a chance to play wide because of Rooney, Tevez and Evra hounding him constantly.

They were going with the "happy it's only 1-0" because Tevez / Ronaldo should have both scored so a 3-0 score line was easily possible. On paper a 1-0 defeat isn't that good for a 1st leg, but when it could have been 2 or 3-0 then it is a 'good' result.

I expect us to get an away goal in the second leg which means we can afford to concede twice. As games between the top 4 are usually tight in terms of goal difference, we should go through. Hopefully Fergie will see how easy it is to control a game when both Rooney and Tevez are playing and keep them both in the team for the 2nd leg.

Almunia was awesome! Only one save out of all them was based on luck. Everything else was pure skill.

Thing is though, Chelsea can't play defensively on their own ground, they will have to try and win the game, and that is where Barcelona become really dangerous (unless of course they play for penalties, which I doubt will happen).

Yes, Chelsea are a reasonably good side, but Barcelona possess the attacking power to rip even the best defenses to shreds.

Arsenal have thrown this away, stupid free plastic flag waving idiots.

The Ronaldo free kick wasn't spectacular, Almunia (England's number 1, apparently) could and should have saved it.

What do you have against the flags!

It was a decent hit and Almunia just didn't seem to pick up the pace of the ball. It didn't change direction so much and he just didn't dive quick enough at it almost in slow motion. We just need Anderson to score his first now :p

    • Ladybird Browser is no longer accepting outside contributions thanks to AI by David Uzondu The Ladybird Browser Project has announced it will no longer accept public pull requests and will limit changes to those made by its maintainers as it works towards its first alpha release. According to Ladybird's creator Andreas Kling, this is "not a change we make lightly," but the rapid shift in AI capabilities forced their hand. Previously, a massive PR implied that the person behind it put a lot of care into the code and is ready to "answer for the consequences." Now with AI, anyone can generate a PR without even understanding the bug fix or feature they want merged. The blog post goes on to say that the team is closing all open public pull requests immediately, and that maintainers will not treat external forks as a review queue for upstream Ladybird. Instead, the team wants outside contributors to focus on reporting bugs and running tests. Kling started Ladybird back in 2019 as LibHTML, a simple HTML viewer for his hobby operating system, SerenityOS, but by September 2022, it had turned into a full-fledged browser project. What sets Ladybird apart from the likes of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox is its totally independent engine, which does not rely on pre-existing codebases. The project maintains a strict policy against default search engine deals or user data monetization, keeping development funded entirely by donations and sponsorships. Generative AI is forcing open source project maintainers to rethink how they handle public code contributions (and the whole open-source thing in general). One month ago, a leak about the National Health Service (NHS) suggested the organization was planning to take all of its public repositories private ahead of a May 11 deadline, thanks to Mythos (an AI model that Anthropic believes is too dangerous to be released to the public) and its ability to find and write exploits for zero-day vulnerabilities. Thankfully, the Government Digital Service (GDS) issued a counter-report titled "AI, open code and vulnerability risk in the public sector" that stopped the shutdown by pointing out that hiding code does not improve security.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
