Microwave baby killer convicted

A jury will decide if China Arnold should face the death penalty

A US court in Dayton, Ohio, has convicted a mother of murdering her one-month-old daughter by burning her to death in a microwave oven.

China Arnold, 28, showed no emotion when the jury announced its guilty verdict, only lowering her head.

The prosecution said that Arnold had killed her daughter, Paris Talley, in 2005 after a fight with her boyfriend.

The jury will reassemble next Tuesday to decide if Arnold, convicted of aggravated murder, should face death.

Officials investigating the case said Paris Talley had suffered high-heat internal burns but had no external marks.

Prosecutors said that the baby's DNA had been found inside the microwave in Arnold's apartment.

Arnold's cellmate told the court that she had confessed to putting her daughter in the microwave and switching it on, because she was afraid that her boyfriend would leave her if he discovered that he was not the baby's father.

The defence team said that there was evidence that somebody else was responsible for Paris Talley's death.

An eight-year-old boy told the court he had seen another boy walk into the kitchen of a nearby apartment, heard the microwave being switched on and had later seen the burned baby in the oven.

However, the boy's mother said they lived some distance away and that they were not in Arnold's apartment complex when Paris Talley died.

She wont last long in prison. Just as Male inmates dislike rapists (and pedophiles).... female inmates dislike anyone that harms children. I've worked in female prisons before, and are just as brutal as the men can be. She may get the "death penalty" after all.

Sometimes i think it would be nice if they just let her live, so she could suffer for the rest of her life. IF there was none of this perole **** for some people, and they actually let them "rot" in jail. It just feels like killing her just won't do enough justice. But then again, that would work in a perfect world. Let's hope she realizes what she did, if she hasn't already.

Stick her in solitary confinement, with projectors that flash split-second images of her kid (and/or the coroner's photos thereof) along with speakers playing the anguished screams that came out of that microwave. See how long it takes her to kill herself (bonus points for padding on the walls so she has to do something like gouge out her own eyes and stick her fingers into her brain) or go insane from the grief.

No sense in wasting perfectly good electricity, drugs, or bullets (or dulling a perfectly-good guillotine blade for that matter, though that's "barbaric" and would never be used on someone who...you know...microwaved her kid) when you can let the mind take care of matters aaaaaaaall by itself.

I just can't understand what must of being going through her head when she decided to microwave her baby!! She is one ****ed up human being and deserves the DEATH PENALTY (usually i'm against it) and it should be made SLOW AND PAINFUL - she should be made to suffer for what she did and re-live what that poor baby must of felt - stick her inside a furnace and she how she likes it, the sick ****er!!!

(Sorry for the bad language, but I really hate it when people do things to children!)

Arnold's cellmate told the court that she had confessed to putting her daughter in the microwave and switching it on, because she was afraid that her boyfriend would leave her if he discovered that he was not the baby's father.

The logic behind this being?

So the "Father" comes home after a days work and asks "Whats the baby doing in the Microwave, darling? You Killed it? Oh thats okay." *HUGZZZ* "Lets start again!!"

    • Free Software Foundation Europe pushes EU to force Google to allow AI uninstalls on Android by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels Users should be able to fully uninstall AI-based features from Android devices and be able to access interoperability functions, free from Google’s verification requirements, the European Commission has heard as part of an Android interoperability consultation under the Digital Markets Act. These measures were proposed by the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) last week when it submitted its documentation. The FSFE noted that Google had started silently installing AI models without telling users. It noted that the EU’s DMA requires companies like Google to allow users to uninstall pre-loaded software from their devices, but in the case of the AI models Google is installing, they reinstall if you delete them, contravening the DMA. To get Google back under control, the FSFE has told the European Commission that there needs to be improvements within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). First, it said that users should be able to fully remove pre-loaded AI components from their devices, with companies being prohibited from silently reinstalling or reactivating them. Second, access to Android interoperability features should not be contingent on registration, authorization, or contractual relationships with Google. This pertains to Google’s attempt to force developers to register with Google, even to publish apps to alternative app stores like F-Droid. Discussing its submission, Lucas Lasota, FSFE Legal Programme Manager, said: Google is planning to roll out its Android Developer Certification in September 2026. This will force every Android app developer to register with Google before their software can be installed on certified Android devices, but it should affect those who have removed Google Apps from their device. The program is controversial because it entails the signing of contracts and payment of account fees to Google, as well as the handing over of the identities of developers. It said: The FSFE said that if the Commission’s draft measures remain unchanged, then Google will be allowed to make developers verify their identity. The FSFE believes that asking developers to register is contrary to the text and spirit of the law. In summary, the FSFE has told the Commission that no developer should need a Google account, a Play Store presence, or any agreement with Google to access Android’s interoperability features.
