Did nVidia get rid of their OCing tool? (Old news, I'm sure.)

I keep seeing screenshots from older reviews for nVidia cards and they have the option in their nVidia control panel to overclock the card, adjust fan speed, etc etc...I can't even remember seeing that feature. Is it only there for newer cards? I currently have 175.19 installed and yeah...I can't recall ever seeing those above mentioned features.

It's enabled with a registry key. At least that's how it was the last time I used an Nvidia card.

Its disabled by default, there was a reg tweak called Coolbits but its quite old and i dont know if it works for more recent cards.

You could always download rivatuner.

They did, but even that is not replaced by Nvidia System Tools.

Ahh thanks for the replies and for clearing it up for me. It looks like it may have been for the better that I asked.

I have Rivatuner, but I'll definitely get system tools.

I'd just use Rivatuner, everytime I'd set a profile with nTune it couldn't load the profile I had set.

Thats because nTune is from 2007 and no longer their supported tool... read up to my posts some more.

Download "Nvidia system tools" it contains an updated version of ntune.
