IE8 Beta 2 caused Napster to error and close on start up... That might be a Napster thing though. It was fine with Beta1

I'm not sure that's a bug... it happens to me on every website.

But how can you stop a web site from loading if it's already loaded. Logic error point to Microsoft.

Every site I tried crashed IE8, want to debug then closes down completely. Back to IE7 and all is well, what bit I see looks nice but thats all I can say.

It's not only used to stop a page from loading. If you go to a page with animated .gifs and press stop the gifs will stop moving.

not really, if you do it on a clean installation. I suspect this (again) has something to do with the installer.

I guess it's kind of a "tradition" for IE ;)

The only major bugs I've found with Beta 2 is that it doesn't behave properly when clicking on a text link that jumps you to a certain point in the page, and text fields are messed up, also. But both of these are likely minor issues that can probably be fixed by a Beta 3 release.

If I copy an URL and paste into address bar IE8 will crash.

can anyone confirm that the following reddit.com comment page http://www.reddit.com/r/science/comments/6...ting_the_earth/ will crash IE8 beta2? I have tried it with my vista buisness laptop and my xp media center desktop and IE8 crashes in both of them with the following error:

"Unhandled exception

at 0x764985df in iexplore.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location

0x00000000."

OMG! You are totally right. That's so _pause_ weird. :blink:

I actually like that feature. It also stops any current data transfer, i.e. streaming Flash videos and such.

I still have the odd problem/bug where IE8b2, and even IE8b1 did this, stops updating my RSS feeds automatically for some reason. The only way I can seem to get it to start doing it again is to close and restart IE. Otherwise i'll have to refresh all manually.

I have my RSS feeds in the fav bar btw. But I don't think this has anything to do with it.
