Clear your browser's cache.

If it doesn't help, Do you use a proxy? Maybe your ISP uses a transparent one?

IMO, it's what Vista's picture viewer should have been. Fast loading, functional and very pretty.

I'd prefer if the picture viewer had

1) An option for a solid color background instead of the desktop faded out (perhaps a strong Aero Glass-style blur would be OK as well)

2) A higher default zoom level. There's a lot of wasted border space (at least at my resolution of 1024*768)

3) A "Set as Wallpaper" button somewhere.

Otherwise, I would agree that Windows Picture and Fax viewer is soundly beat.

Nice, I was looking for a app to add text to pictures.

The photo viewer is nice and I like how they make it easy to switch back to the windows one. Anyone find out how well it works with a network setup? I backup my album to a network share and have other computers read that share but right now they only have read access.

+1 - I also wish that it had had a fullscreen mode like the Windows one. I like it but I suspect it's going to start annoying me soon.

If it helps any the background turns to grey instead see through if you press space bar...

I'd like if you could click on the background to close the viewer rather than chasing the close button. Even if it was a right click on the gray area to prevent accidental closes.

also wish scrolling was circular in that if you scroll to the end of the alavialble images (ctrl + mwheel by default) then it would wrap around to the start rather than just getting stuck on the last pic

I love the picture viewer, shame about the toolbar at the bottom... should be able to hide it.

Pretty cool, I usually have a program running in the upper right corner of the monitor so the close button on the photoviewer doesn't blend in too well.

What I like best though is that it didn't install google updater! I swear the thing is stickier than your average trojan.

They probably forgot to release a beta version for mac users, I will like to try it because I really don't like iPhoto.

I love the picture viewer, shame about the toolbar at the bottom... should be able to hide it.

Thats the only thing that put me off the picture viewer also... uninstalled it because of that

OMFG!!!! I just used the viewer for the first time. It blends so damn well into vista it's amazing. I usually don't attach anything to my posts but this deserves it!!!!

How do you do that? I'm new to Picasa.

just open any image file (thats associated with Picasa) and it should work automatically. if not, right click > open with > picasa photo viewer

It's pretty good! A nice update, especially the automatic touch-ups, and the separate viewer.
