So what do you think? Is Twenty20 the real format for the Olympics? While the idea of Twenty20 is not bad the way it is being implemented in sacrilage for me. I think too much importance is being placed on Twenty20 at the moment.

Please state your choice and the reason for that choice.

I guess at least it would mean some cricket coverage on terrestrial television, in the UK.

I voted yes, but I don't think it will happen, as not enough countries play cricket and then would want to play the twenty20 variation.

Why are all these North Americans saying the olympics are over???? He obviously means the Olympics in the post below!!! :o

Well it might get more people watching it (including me) so that can't be a bad thing, can it?

:EDIT: Nothing was obvious about your post

I am a huge cricket fan but there's no point having cricket there. Not enough countries play it. I'd like to see Golf in there. Not sure if it ever was but that would be my tip on the next sport to get the call up.

Twenty20 is wicked.

Time to get cricket into the "fun" sport genre....not the boring golf arena.

I think it's the future of cricket....take it or get left behind..

It's actually pretty lame to include cricket in Olympics.

But I voted for it anyway!

certainly not more lamer than Ping Pong or some of the other 'sports' like shooting.

No, becuase its entertainment as opposed to proper cricket, commonwealth games yes, olympic games no. AND isnt really a world games yet.
If standard cricket is not entertainment, why play (or watch) it?

All sports are entertainment, duh.
