Farnush
A few days back neowin.net had an article on it first page to a linux driver installation Guide . Does any one have the link or so?
markwolfe Veteran Posted September 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 5, 2008 This is the "Completed *nix HOWTO & FAQ" section. Your post would be better served in the client section. I will report the thread, so a mod can move it. As to your question: Hardware in Linux works out of the box, or it doesn't. In cases that it doesn't it may be possible to find closed-source drivers. But if you post what it is you have problems with, it would be helpful. Wireless? Scanner? Webcam? Video card? Ethernet? iPod? There's a lot out there... Farnush
no one knows the front page article about Nvdia drivers in Ubuntu that was posted a few days back.
Budious
Are you wanting to install the Nvidia proprietary drivers for Ubuntu? They are in the System > Administration > Hardware Drivers and check the Nvidia driver box. The command "sudo nvidia-xconfig" to automatically detect and setup the xorg.conf file though you may need to manually edit it for the desired resolution in some cases. All of these topics are well documented over and over again and can be easily located through google.
