EliteMarine
So I got a small image that I want to make my wallpaper but Windows Vista wants to stretch it all the way to the tops and bottom or make it full screen. Theres not an option like on XP to just center the d@mn3d thing. Any ideas? EDIT: Found out I can open it in firefox and set it that way, but any other ideas? IceBreakerG
Right click on the desktop, then click on Personalize. When the Personalization window comes up click on Desktop Background. At the botton where it says "How should the picture or video be positioned?" select the middle option (Center).
EliteMarine
Haha yeh, but it never really works that way. I hit the center option and the image just stays the same
IceBreakerG
What is your resolution and what are the dimensions of the picture you're using as your background?

Brian M. Veteran Posted September 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 5, 2008 In the "Desktop Backgrounds" window - to the bottom there are 5 "placement" options - chose the middle one.
EliteMarine
I guess I'm not explaining clearly enough.... When I click that option, the wallpaper stays the same. However, if I open it in firefox and then set it as wallpaper all the options function right but when I set it straight from the explorer they never work
IceBreakerG
Hmmm. Have you tried saving the picture first, then setting it as the background? Or are you trying to set it straight from the web browser? Also, can you like to the image as well?
