DVI Monitor Problem

Description:

My monitor on my duel screen monitor system has the problem of when I have it plugged directly into DVI it will show up on the bios post but when it gets into windows it will not work (checked drivers and doesn't show) when I plug it into a DVI to VGA converter and plug it into the same port it works. I have also had someone else test to connect to my monitor with my DVI cord and it works on there computer. How would I go abouts fixing this?

From what you said you have two monitors but have a problem with one of them? Are both the graphic card outputs DVI?

did you enable it in display properties -> settings?

put a check in "extend my windows to this monitor" (or something like that)

I did and when I hit apply it would automatically disable itself again.
