Who the hell is that lady? I can't wait for the finale and Season 2!

She's one of these...

In Greek mythology, Maenads (Greek: Μαινάδες) were the inspired and frenzied female worshippers of Dionysus, the Greek god of mystery, wine, and intoxication, the Roman god Bacchus. Their name literally translates as "raving ones". They were known as wild, insane women who could not be reasoned with. The mysteries of Dionysus inspired the women to ecstatic frenzy; they indulged in copious amounts of violence, bloodletting, sexual activity, self-intoxication, and mutilation. They were usually pictured as crowned with vine leaves, clothed in fawnskins and carrying the thyrsus, and dancing with wild abandon.

[sARAH NEWLIN]

Late 20s - bright, pretty, cheerful wife of Fellowship of the Sun head Minister Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian), Sarah is an example of the new "hip" evangelical movement, hates vampires with a passion, deeply believes in her mission, her marriage, her country and her church. very feminine, but down-to-earth, also with a healthy appetite for life's many pleasures... as she sees it, it's all part of God's gift to us. No actual nudity, but implied..sptv050769.SERIES REGULAR 7/13

[DAPHNE]

Late 20s / early 30s - Daphne is sexy and down to earth, a real country girl, not the greatest waitress, but Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) couldn't care less, once he gets to know her better. Question: Thanks for telling us that True Blood started shooting its second season last week, but could you tell me when the episodes will start airing? -- Katie

Ausiello: This summer, which means season 2 will air roughly eight months after the conclusion of season 1 -- a lightning fast turnaround by cable standards. "Alan Ball is a very fast writer," explains an HBO source. In other True Blood news, I caught up with Sam Trammell (Sam) at the Globes and he teased that his new love interest (played by The Bold and The Beautiful's Ashley Jones) is up to no good. "I don't know the whole storyline, but I've read the first three episodes, and it's going to be really twisted and dark and exciting. She's got some serious secrets and questionable intentions."

I think TrueBlood was weak in the first three episodes, and went off track a bit 4 thru 7, but began bringing it together during the 8 thru 12. It had my interest from episode one, and kept me interested to 12. I hope to see season two, glad to hear they are filming it. It is a rather good show.

I noticed how Sookie's character changed after her mother's death. I was getting turned off by the way she was rejecting Bill with all the lead up to them. I think Bill will have to put down that new girl vamp to protect Sookie or have to turn Sookie to keep them together. Probably the former is more likely than the latter.

True Blood gets Blu-Ray Date

The vampires of True Blood are also coming to high-def, with Warner announcing a May 12th Blu-ray debut for the complete first season of the hit HBO series, reports High Def Digest. A critical and ratings winner for the cable network, the Alan Ball-created vampire series will make its Blu-ray debut on May 19 (day-and-date with the standard DVD) via the Warner/HBO Home Video label. True Blood: The Complete First Season will present all 12 first season episodes spread across five BD-50 dual-layer discs. Specs will see 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio. No extras have ben revealed yet, but we can guarantee much more enjoyment than Summit's Twilight.

True Blood? chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps...where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin, Academy Award?-winner for "The Piano") works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others.

E!Online is reporting that the suspense is building as to what fans can expect to see for Season 2 on Alan Ball?s successful HBO TV series ?True Blood?.

Questions are surrounding whether there is going to be a love triangle between Bill, Sookie and Eric?

With the introduction of Jessica as Bill?s newly made vampire ?child? how will Sookie deal with the news?

Questions about Tara and Sam are on people?s minds as well. Are they going to hook up or are they going to go their separate ways?

At the end of Season 1 we were left off with a cliffhanger: is Lafayetter dead or not?

Well the cast of ?True Blood? are only going to give the fans only little tidbits. Stephen Moyer, who plays Sookie?s (Anna Paquin) vampire love interest states:

?I couldn?t possibly say. I honestly don?t know, but I think that there will be all the conflict that there needs to be to make it a great frisson.? What about that other third party, Bill?s baby-vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll)? Moyer teases, ?She is nuts?and fantastic.?

Nelsan Ellis says that he is not saying anything except, ?They have to wait and see.? Nelsan does state that he is ready for some more ?True Blood? and that he is just as invested as the fans into knowing if Lafayette lives or dies. Nelsan states:

?Absolutely, yeah, I?ll come back. I?ll take the paycheck.? ?I love the fact that people are invested in this story. I like Lafayette, and I like that people like him.?

Rutina Wesley states that although Michelle Forbes? character, the maenad seems sneaky and suspicious she is not all that bad because she saved Tara?s live.

In regards to Tara?s love life she says that Tara and Sam have a complicated relationship and that even though Sam still has a thing for Sookie, she still has some feelings for him. We will just have to wait and see.

True Blood returns to HBO in June or July for Season 2.?

    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent — error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features — they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
