Try waking me up after starting that 20 minute nap when I'm tired :p

Haha, yeah I heard about that, but apparently you crash like crazy if you skip one of those 20 minute naps.

The True Blood panel met with some of the loudest and most fervent cheers seen at Comic Con. The fans were rewarded with a preview of the rest of the season, and details on the show's future. Bloody spoilers below.

The panel began with a trailer for the rest of season two. The tone of the remaining episodes was set very clearly by the preview's opening pronouncement: "The war has begun!" We saw the Fellowship of the Sun stepping up its aggression and not taking kindly to Jason Stackhouse's attempt to leave, the maenad Maryann on the hunt for Sam Merlotte, discussions of a "national vampire emergency", Evan Rachel Wood as vampire queen Sophie-Anne, and a suspiciously blond-looking man behind Sookie in bed. To combine two classic descriptors from Hot Fuzz and The Simpsons, **** just got real...with sexy results. But why take my word for it when you can watch it yourself?

Show creator Alan Ball spoke optimistically about the show's future, saying he hopes it has a long life and runs for several seasons. Though the third season hasn't been officially confirmed yet, he treated it very much as a done deal. He hopes to vastly expand the show's mythology next season, to include more material from the books, bringing in werewolves, Russell Eddington and the Mississippi vampires, and Debbie Pelt.

One element Ball said he doesn't think will be included is Bubba, a vampire who also happens to be Elvis Presley. Ball said this works on the page due to suspension of disbelief, but Bubba would only ever look like an Elvis impersonator on the screen, making the whole thing look unforgivably cheesy. The audience very vocally disagreed with this assessment. (Perhaps they could get Bruce Campbell to bring some of his Bubba Ho-Tep gravitas to the role.)

The show should indeed have plenty more source material for the many seasons Ball hopes to do, as author Charlaine Harris announced she'd just signed on to write three more books, taking the series all the way through to 2014. About the only thing Ball can confirm will remain a constant in the series is character change, as he wants characters to react realistically to the crazy circumstances in which they find themselves, and often that will mean altering how they look at the world. He also made it very, very clear that there will never be any half-vampire babies on the show, sounding almost disgusted when one fan asked him about this possibility.

But the panel wasn't just there to talk about the series proper. Alan Ball also unveiled the new True Blood drink, the design of which is styled after the bottles seen on the show. Though he initially claimed the drink is a highly illegal brew of blood, vicodin, viagra, cocaine, and ecstasy, he then admitted it was just a refreshing orange soda with a blood orange color to it. Sounds like the perfect beverage for your True Blood watching parties

The True Blood panel at Comic-Con was one of the bigger ones. Many cast members showed up alongside writer/creator Alan Ball and Charleane Harris, author of the books that led to the show. They seemed grateful for all of the fan response and the packed room. Apparently their panel was in a much smaller space last year since nobody knew about the show.

They showed a short teaser for the rest of season 2, but it was just a quick glimpse. We saw the Texas vampire contingent, Sookie getting into trouble (again), and Jason getting closer to the preacher?s wife he?s been eying.

The Q&A banter was fun, and it was clear that everyone seems to love working on the show. We learned the following from the Q&A:

* A True Blood drink is now a reality. It will be a blood orange soda released around September.

* Michelle Forbes was asked about what makes sci-fi such a breeding ground for strong female characters (of which she?s played quite a few). She said that sci-fi allows us to see a more ideal future, and imagine a world that isn?t as restricted by normal values.

* Charlaine Harris mentioned that quite a few scenes in the pilot made her cover her eyes. The show amped up the sex and violence from her novels.

* Harris also confirmed that she is signed for three more Sookie Stackhouse novels.

* Alan Ball is excited about adapting the Mississippi Vampires story, as well as making the character Debbie Pelt a reality.

* There will be no Elvis in the show because it?s hard to pull off on TV. Ball argued that it will look very fake, and he thinks it will take us out of the show if they attempted it.

* The Eric/Sookie/Bill love triangle from the books will happen at some point.

* Alexander Skarsgard seems to have a very deep understanding of Eric. He doesn?t think he?s evil, since he?s very loyal to the few he keeps close. He?s also attempting to save Godrick purely out of love. He seems to grasp the complexities of the character.

I was way wrong about Daphne. :( I should have seen that coming though. In the books, Sam and Maryanne have a relationship similar to Sam and Daphne. There's no conflict between the two like there is in the show. I should have guessed that relationship would be worked in somehow, though!

About the mask: I THINK it is a head. Seems to me that it morphs her into that...creature. I could be wrong again, though. :(

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
