Wasn't Bill most likely taken by Eric?

That's the obvious assumption seeing as he said he would take care of him but Ball has said the werewolves would be in the next season and they are not friendly

Maybe I'm the minority here, but that finale was painfully slow and rather dull. Two thumbs down for this season. The first season was great, but this season dragged on and I didn't care about any of the characters anymore. They were all trash in my eye and I couldn't get into them whatsoever. (N)

I am just pleased Maenad is gone and for those are who are interested in the books she just disappears after she kills a bunch of people for her sacrifice but she doesn't die.

Though last night?s True Blood finale tied up a bunch of loose ends, it also untied a bunch more! For instance (spoiler alert): Who kidnapped Bill? Why was Eric mostly MIA? Will the Queen return? Are Jessica and Hoyt over? What is Sookie? And that?s for starters. Luckily, series creator Alan Ball agreed to a little post-episode Q&A to finish us ofSome folks were surprised by the structure of the finale and your decision to wrap up the Maryann story in the first 30 minutes.

ALAN BALL: I try to look at the show as basically almost like it?s a novel, and each episode is a chapter. I guess I?m influenced by the fact that when I watch TV shows, I watch the [DVD] boxed sets. Ultimately, it?s just organically the way it worked out. And the season finale last year was very Why wasn?t there more Eric in the finale? finale?

BALL: Yes. Although, when I saw your [latest episode of Ausiello TV], for a moment I thought, we?re going to have to kill Eric, because you are the man. I thought wow, I had many seasons of Eric planned but I guess I?ll have to oSpeaking of which, are you surprised at how passionate the Sookie/Eric fans are?Eric fans are?

BALL: Yes. I try not to get involved in that because it just sort of ? it?s too confusing. I don?t want it to influence what the show is. Personally, I?m like, yes, Eric?s hot, but beyond that he?s dangerous, and I don?t know if he?d love anybody besides himself. What?s the appeWhy wasn?t Sookie susceptible to Maryann?s powers but Jason was? Do they have different parents?was? Do they have different parents?

BALL: They have the same parents. We will find out what Sookie is [next season]. There are such things as dominant and recessive genes. Maybe Jason is fundamentally human but he has a trace of some non-human stuff. He?s kind of a ridiculously perfect [human being]. He?s athletic and has that charisma thing, so maybe he had some help in that regard. [Laughs] Ultimately, if you look at percentages, he?s mostly human. Sookie has a stronger genetic predisposition in another direction. BALL: She will. You don?t want to introduce a character you?re going to see later and blow your wad up front. It?s funny because the fans are so rabid. Of course, that?s fantastic. And the fact that they?re so completely wrapped up in the show and they get upset and they think, ?I don?t like that! I love that.? It means people are watching and the show is really affecting them. I think of the show as having a long life. You can?t explain everything and blow your wad in the first episode the first time timWill she return next season as a series regular?hing. BALL: That?s part of what the queen talks about. They?re always improvising. She really can?t conjure up a God. But she?s so fervent in her belief; she keeps trying this sacrifice and that sacrifice. She?s completely delusional. She killed Miss Jeanette and I think she thought that was going to work. She always thinks it?s going to work. Insert your own fresh meat joke here: Off my just-completed one-on-one with Alan Ball, I?ve learned that True Blood has cast Tony winner Denis O?Hare (Take Me Out) as the king of Mississippi.

The veteran actor?s name may not be a household one, but you?ve for sure seen him. He?s appeared in roughly a million movies (Milk, Duplicity, Quarantine) and pretty much that many TV series, too (most notably a 10-episode run on Brothers & Sisters).

O?Hare joins True Blood as a series regular. He?ll debut early into the show?s third season, slated to air next summer.

    • When will the Photos app be updated to remember the window size and position when reopened? They addressed this issue in a 2024 version of the app (though I can't recall the build number). Unfortunately, after that specific version, the problem persists! Please prioritise this fix in your K2 schedule. Additionally, the Snipping Tool has lost the ability to capture the Windows Taskbar starting from the 2024 version!

    • Anthropic pulls Fable 5 and Mythos 5 after US export control order by Pradeep Viswanathan In April this year, Anthropic launched the Claude Mythos Preview frontier model with state-of-the-art cyber and coding capabilities for a select set of companies around the world. After preparing appropriate guardrails, early this week, Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5, its most capable AI models. Claude Fable 5 is for general users and comes with strict safeguards, while Mythos 5 is designed with fewer safeguards for cybersecurity and biology use cases. Today, Anthropic abruptly suspended access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models for all customers after receiving an export control directive from the US government. The company received the directive from the government today at 5:21 p.m. ET, and the received letter did not provide any details regarding the national security concern. Anthropic understands that the government became aware of a method to bypass, or “jailbreak,” Fable 5, which might be the reason behind the directive. The order was issued under national security authorities and requires the company to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether they are inside or outside the United States. The restriction also applies to foreign national employees working at Anthropic. As a result, the company has disabled both models for all customers to ensure compliance. Access to previous Anthropic models like Opus and Sonnet is not affected by this government order. The company highlighted that it had developed strong safeguards to reduce the possibility that Fable is misused for tasks related to cybersecurity. In fact, many developers are complaining that the safeguards are going overboard. Additionally, the company worked with the US government, the UK AISI, multiple private third-party organizations, and internal teams to red-team Fable’s safeguards for thousands of hours. Finally, Anthropic noted that no testers have yet been able to find a universal jailbreak on Fable 5. As expected, Anthropic disagrees that a narrow potential jailbreak should lead to the recall of a commercial model used by hundreds of millions of people. It warned that applying this standard across the AI industry could effectively halt new frontier model deployments. Anthropic concluded by mentioning that it is working to restore access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 as soon as possible and plans to share more details within the next 24 hours.
