Removing log-on screen watermark

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to do this? I've searched, but I only get info regarding removing the beta watermark on the desktop. Thanks.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

You know the user logon screen for Vista? At the bottom, there is a watermark that says: Windows Vista Business Edition

I would like to remove that whole part.

Sorry for the confusion. My younger brother is using my cookies to browse and post on this forum.

To complete his request, he is using windows vista business enterprise and he would like to remove the text "windows vista business enterprise" from the bottom of his login screen. I'm going to try TweakVI, searching the forums for custom login creators etc. But if you'd like to point him in the correct direction I can proceed with his beating much sooner. I'll teach him for taking my cookies...

Thanks.

Does anyone know a resource editor that can do 64 bit files? I'm on vista x64 and neither resource tuner nor trusty ResHacker seem to be finding any resources in basebrd.dll (could it be some sort of "feature" of sp1?)

Try using Restorator 2007 you can have a free download HERE

Well I tried doing partial transparency, but of course I didn't think that would work (and it didn't), so what I succeeded in doing was just removing the watermark. So I think to myself, great!

I'm probably going to just add a layer to my log-on screen with my own watermark when I have some time. More flexible that way;)

I can send you a screenshot of my login screen if you like, but I dunno how to take a screenshot on that screen. printscreen doesn't work hehe;)

Which tutorial? first i looked for one on the forums here, then I realized you probably meant your own tutorial, but I didn't see anything about a screenshot there and the link has been down since yesterday.
