fuel925
I have some files that according to Gspot are encoded in XviD 1.0.3, these play perfectly on the xbox 360. I have some other files that Gspot reports are encoded in XviD ISO MPEG-4, but when watching this the audio lags about half a second behind the video, so speech etc is out of sync, and I also experience the occasional instance of severe video stuttering. This occurs regardless of whether the files are played off a DVD-R or a USB Hard Drive. Is there an 'ideal' format/settings for watching video on the xbox 360? Also is there some freeware conversion software available?
HawkMan
ideal would be wmv or vc1. wmv gets you high def and 5.1 sounds wich is a bit difficult to get otherwise :)
Ayepecks
My XviD files play perfectly. If you're ripping them yourself, it may be a problem with the source. I know I had that problem on one.
