GNU / Linux October 2008 Desktops

Recommended Posts

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy, plan on upgrading to Ibex when it's "officially" released, right now it's kind of sluggish and buggy...

  • Wallpaper - Default
  • Theme - Aero-Clone (search for it on gnome-look.org)
  • Icons - default as I've no clue how to install icon packs on Hardy
  • Programs - I've got AWN at the bottom, with Firefox, Thunderbird, Pidgin, Miro, and Terminal

@ Labot2001 - if that method doesn't work, or if its in a different format

Home-> Ctrl+H -> .icon -> place the folder with icons

if the folder order is correct, it should show up in System > Preferences > Appearance

Doh, I forgot about this, that not all of types of archives are accepted by appearance window...

Then your way is helpfully :)

Nice shot!

How to get font render like yours? It's a little bit different. Looks like this, but I don't know what options do you use (if this is this rendering)...

Fonts look like that if you change the DPI to 72. Your regular font rendering should work fine.
