The fact that someone couldn't wait past the first page of this post to disgrace it with ricer jap cars is sickening. This world is going down a road of douche baggery that it's likely never to recover from. There is no such thing as a "hot" Honda Civic or a "bad ass" Mitsubishi Lancer. You need to find yourself a pair of balls, dust them off and promptly burn them to a cinder because you don't deserve a pair. Anything with less than 8 cylinders can barely be considered a proper vehicle.

With that out of the way I'd have to vote for the original Ford GT or the new GT40.

The caterham I posted is only a 4 cylinder and is one of the fastest cars in the world (not top speed, but around a track and acceleration).

i guess mine passes "your test" then, even though is an SUV, is a 6.0L V12 baby ;) oh yeah

The Honda NSX has a V6 producing 300HP and it challenged Ferrari's at the time. The BMW M3 E46 and Nissan Skyline GT-R 2000s had straight 6 engines.

... I can go on but that would be useless as I've already proven my point.

Huh? I have to touch on this and I agree and appreciate your dislike of ricers. The time for huge exhaust tips spouting angry bees and wings the size of park benches that either do nothing or actually hurt performance has passed. Don't even get me started on the fake air vents and neon lights everywhere.

I also appreciate your rant. I may have to steal that.

However I did not see where engine size is important in a discussion about automobile styling at all. It could be powered by a coal fired steam turbine for all I care. This thread was about looks not performance. As a rotary owner amongst other cars including three 8 cylinders, not muscle cars sadly. I'll counter by saying you guys with your pistons and cylinders are ole' fashioned (not really). Really there are a variety of good engines out there now that are good performance everything from 1.3 rotary to inline fours up to W16's. Muscle cars are fun, but so are other cars especially lightweight sports cars. You are missing some great cars by limiting yourself to 8 cylinders.

I take it you drive a 5mpg car that can't corner then? Now, while I don't like the Evo or Civic much looks-wise, you?cannot claim?for one moment that a Mazda Furai?is?not beautiful. Oh, it?has ZERO cylinders. Rotary, dontcha know.

Ok I'll claim it. The Furai is not beautiful. I'm a Mazda fan and I don't like the looks of it. It looks like the Batmobile mated with a LeMans prototype with a bit of Wilford Brimley thrown in. And I guess in some ways it did. I understand all those strange curves are functional at high speed and I anticipate Mazda's return to LeMans racing especially the 24. I'll even root for them and I appreciate the car as a race car, but I hope if they bring it to market it eliminates some of the weird mustache hairs at the front.

      Researchers claim Microsoft's quantum breakthrough is flawed by basic Python errors by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft's aggressive roadmap to deliver a commercial quantum supercomputer by 2029 has now hit a bit of a snag, and it's not because of a complex sub-zero dilution refrigerator, but rather because of a few lines of basic Python code. A new critique published in the scientific journal Nature argues that simple software errors effectively manufactured the breakthrough that Microsoft's foundational research claimed back in 2025 into Majorana-based topological qubits. Topological quantum computing, the path that Microsoft chose for its research, relies on creating and controlling "Majorana zero modes." These are exotic quasiparticles that theoretically offer vastly superior error resistance compared to the highly sensitive superconducting qubits currently being championed by rivals like Google and IBM. However, physically proving you have created these particles requires sifting through massive amounts of complex electrical conductance data to isolate a specific "topological gap." Because of the sheer volume of data, physicists rely heavily on custom software pipelines to process the results. This is where the Python scripts come in. The researchers behind the critique argued that this makes the findings invalid, suggesting the heralded "quantum leap" was actually a false positive generated by bad code and not a product of groundbreaking physics. However, Microsoft is pushing back hard against these allegations. The Redmond giant has formally rejected the criticism, saying that it's just a minor anomaly rather than a fatal flaw. According to the company, while there may have been a minor oversight in the data parsing scripts, it does not alter the fundamental reality of their physical experiment. Just weeks ago, Microsoft unveiled the Majorana 2 quantum processor, a milestone so significant that the company boldly accelerated its timeline for a commercial quantum supercomputer from 2035 down to 2029. But the new software allegations reopen an old wound. Version 26.6.2 brought AMD FSR 4.1 support to the previous-gen Radeon lineup, the RX 7000 series, giving users better upscaling tech that was previously locked to the newest GPUs.
