Cancelled TV Shows 2008/2009

Recommended Posts

Hey, Summer makes my pink bits tingle as well, but that isn't enough to save what is so far a lame season of this show.

Tonights episode was better then last weeks imo so theres a chance!

I don't understand how anyone can hate Knight Rider but love a cheesy overrated show like Chuck..... lol

can that show be any MORE cheesy?

I, however, hope Prison Break never gets canned.

I love Chuck..like freaking love it. I'll give you though that it is extremely cheesy..especially for a person who grew up during the 80s. that said, I think the reason why it's so popular is that it doesn't try to be serious. Knight Rider on the other hand actually tries to be serious to me and sucks so so bad. Like most of it's audience I grew up watching it as a kid, but so far I've been extremely unimpressed with the show and wouldn't miss it, if it was cancelled.

Eureka needs to go on the likely canceled list after the stuff they dumped on us this season. :(

Aint gonna happen. According to Eureka Unscripted, they're currently in the process of shooting an additional 13 episodes (making a total of 21 episodes for Season 3). However it is unknown at this time when the new episodes will air. And I personally am very happy about this decision, as I enjoy both Eureka and House as my main "must watch" tv-shows.

Having now aired the first eight episodes of Season Three, we are madly at work writing and shooting the back 13. You may recall that as a result of the Writers? Strike, NBC/Universal increased our episode order from 13 to 21, which was a win-win. We?re employed for a longer period of time (and believe me, in this rapidly failing economy, we?re grateful) and you get more ?Eureka? to enjoy (my assumption is if you?re reading this, you?re a fan).

You ARE kidding, right? Dark Angel HAD Jessica Alba in it, and FOX still cancelled it!! It ended with a cliff hanger ending too (if I remember correctly), but it didn't make it past the 2nd season!

My point exactly. If she wasn't in it, it may have not even made it that far. That's why I was saying Terminator will probably be canceled unless they have some "hot star" that may prolong its life. (outlook: good?)

And Dark Angel wtf... wasn't exactly bad, but when they started with all the mutant people... I completely lost interest.

I haven't seen Prison Break in a long time (got cable). Stopped watching after the first season. Was surprised to find out they've kept it going this long. Not that it was bad or anything (I really liked it), I just figured,"How far can the story go?" I may pick it up again but I don't keep up too much with TV series these days.

I enjoyed the first 2 seasons of Eureka, haven't watched any of season 3 yet. I don't think it's even being shown down here. I've heard this season is not so great though so it's putting me off watching the episodes I do already have.

Most of the other shows listed I never really watch, such as Chuck, Terminator, Prison Break etc, I've never really gotten into those ones, as I like to wait until fFOx airs something for at least 3 seasons usually before commiting any time to it. It doesn't help that Australian TV is only slightly better than having no TV at all. All it shows is the simpsons, family guy, who's line and earl

i thought this seasons eureka was pretty decent, the first few episodes anyway. I think alot are upset with the lame 'main mystery' of this season.

Knight Rider and Terminator? :(

Have you EVER watched either of those shows? Both are hollywood movie run offs, which are filled with horrible plots and bad acting. Say what you will, but both shows IMO suck.

Actually Knight Rider was a series in the 80s, not a movie (though they did make a few really bad movies based on it). I agree though, I tried to watch an episode the other night and had to change it. The acting is horrible, the car's voice is more boring than any GPS unit ever created and the effects and plot (if you can find one) are just stupid. In my opinion anyway, I liked the original show. Back then the idea was futuristic though, today it's just boring.

901210 MUST GO! can't believe they are going to get rid of Terminator :( Prison break should be canceled that shows is all over the god damn place One trill Hill should be canceled along with smallville that shows hasn't been good for a very long time.

    • Same Internet Archive seemed to grab the new version https://web.archive.org/web/20...d/Setup_MakeMKV_v1.18.4.exe Here's the link to an additional file it periodically downloads https://web.archive.org/web/20260213092148/https://www.makemkv.com/sdf.bin I think update's keys, etc. To manually trigger this update, put the sdf.bin file in the root of where the program is installed. When you launch the program it will pick up the file and import it. Typically put it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\sdf.bin
    • Windows 11 KB5094126, KB5093998 bugging out Office apps but it may not be Microsoft's fault by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. Although the tech giant did not acknowledge any major problems, some users online reported various issues ranging from OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. You can read about them in this dedicated piece. While there is still no confirmation about those problems from Microsoft the company has admitted to another bug which we did not report on. The tech giant has confirmed it has received reports of an issue in which certain third-party applications may be unable to launch Microsoft Office apps or open Office documents after installing the Patch Tuesday. This affects both Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. The company says the problem impacts a subset of applications that rely on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) automation to communicate with Microsoft Office programs. According to Microsoft, affected scenarios involve third-party software attempting to open Office applications or documents from within their own interface. In such cases, the Office program may fail to launch altogether, or the requested document may not open. Oddly there may not be any error message, which probably makes the issue difficult to diagnose. The bug affects several Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other apps in the Microsoft Office suite when they are launched through the affected software. These include tax and accounting software such as CCH Engagement and Workpaper Manager, dental practice management solutions like Dentrix and Softdent, as well as the popular research and reference management tool Zotero. Microsoft adds that other applications using similar Office integration methods could also experience the same problematic behavior. To understand the issue it is important to look at OLE, the Microsoft technology involved. OLE allows different applications to work together and share data, while its Automation feature lets one program control another. Thus this enables third-party software to launch Microsoft Office apps, open documents, and perform tasks automatically without requiring users to switch between programs. Because many accounting, healthcare, research, and business applications rely on OLE automation to interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office apps, any disruption can break those workflows. As a result, affected software may be unable to open Office documents or launch Office applications even though the programs themselves continue to work normally. At the moment the company has not provided a permanent fix though it has confirmed that engineers are actively working on a resolution, which will be delivered through a future Windows update. As such additional details will be shared once more information becomes available. In the meantime, Microsoft recommends a simple workaround for affected users whic is to open the Office application or document directly rather than launching it through the third-party program. For enterprise customers and organizations managing larger deployments, Microsoft says an additional mitigation is available. Admins experiencing the problem on their managed devices are advised to contact Microsoft Support for business to obtain and apply the workaround.
    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.
