Cancelled TV Shows 2008/2009

Thanks for the info Rappy. Good news about Burn Notice. I don't really like Psych that much, makes me nostalgic for the really good episodes of the West Wing. It is better than Monk though, which is to me is just a modern Murder She Wrote, and it's wasting Tony Shalhoub's talents.

Mathachew, I think if they called it "American Conspiracy" viewers would just assume it's a documentary about George W. Bush's administration.

No, I wouldn't think that at all.

I'd be pretty gutted if they cancelled Prison Break, want to see just how they could finish it.

I wouldn't want to see Ghost Whisperer cancelled either, I adore Jennifer Love Hewitt in those wee dresses she wears! Makes her very booby, yes indeed.

Everything else I watch (and that's a lot) is on the unlikely list.

Still on the fence over this new Knight Rider. Attack mode I can understand, but come on, transforming into a F150 (?) 4x4 or even the submersible? Um, yeah... The show is turning into more of Ford Rider than anything else -- the pimpage of GT40's, prototype GT40's, F150's (?), Mustangs, etc. is getting a bit crazy. Right up there with the utterly shameless Degree plugs on Eureka.

lol yeah it was shameless but I kind of liked it. It was something different. It was believable that sponsorship/advertising like that could fit into the "real" world of the TV show Eureka itself. However, Knight Rider has gone extremely overboard on the Ford advertising. Knight Rider 2000 was bad enough back in the day but now I mean come on, it's like the show is single-handily trying to save Ford Motor company from bankruptcy or something.

Watching that show Numb3rs is like watching a "hacker" in possibly every Hollywood movie that featured a hacker. The majority of the people don't get the "tech" lingo any but for those of us who do know a thing or two about the computers are completely dumbfounded by the crap being spewed by these so called experts on screen.

Numb3rs is just like that. The fact that they keep making up ridiculous mathematical equations and formulas just to keep the show going insulting to viewers.

With that being said. They should keep the following shows no matter what:

- Family Guy

- Burn Notice

- Chuck

- Heroes

- The Simpsons

- Prison Break

- Two and a Half Men

- 90210 <-- I know I'm gonna get a lot of grief for this but **** it: Its entertaining :D

I watch it and enjoy it for what it is, an hour of rich kids being spoilt little brats :D

Last night's Ghost Whisperer got a 6.1/11 rating. Which is the night's highest rated single show. The premiere and the second show have done huge ratings. There is no way CBS is canceling GW. I would like to know who is the wise a$$ that came up with that list.

King of the Hill Canceled!

2u7offr.jpg

After several previous brushes with cancellation, Fox has opted not to renew veteran animated comedy "King of the Hill" beyond its current 13th season.

In April, Fox picked up 13 more episodes from the 20th Century Fox TV-produced show, which are wrapping production.

A lot has changed since "King of the Hill" premiered in 1997. Its creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge have moved on to other projects -- Daniels developed and is running NBC's "The Office," and Judge has a new animated series, "The Goode Family," launching on ABC in midseason.

Judge had continued to voice the central character on the series, alongside voiceover cast members Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Brittany Murphy, Tom Petty, Johnny Hardwick and Stephen Root.

"Hill" has been executive produced by Judge, Daniels, John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, Jim Dauterive and Garland Testa.

Long-Running Animated Comedy 'King of the Hill' Canceled

"King of the Hill" is over the hill at Fox, which is canceling the long-running animated comedy.

Final episodes of the half-hour series, now in its 13th year, likely will air during the 2009-10 season, Fox said Friday. The network recently ordered 13 new episodes, and animated series have a long production schedule.

"King of the Hill" chronicles the life of blue-collar family man Hank Hill of Texas and his family and friends. Hank is voiced by series co-creator and executive producer Mike Judge. Others in the cast include Kathy Najimy, Brittany Murphy and Stephen Root.

The picture is brighter for another Sunday night animated show on Fox, "American Dad," which was renewed for its fifth season. It has posted single-digit ratings gains among advertiser-favored young adult viewers and total viewers.

Ratings for "King of the Hill" have been relatively flat early this season.

"American Dad" is about Stan Smith, a dedicated conservative, and his oddball family in Langley, Va. Series co-creator and executive producer Seth MacFarlane voices Stan in the series, which also features the voices of Wendy Schaal, Rachael MacFarlane and Scott Grimes.

    • I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.

    • Mozilla highlights Firefox Nova 2026 redesign and more upcoming features with new roadmap by Sayan Sen Last month Mozilla confirmed that Firefox was set to get a major redesign this year. Dubbed "Project Nova", it can already be tested and will roll out to all users later this year. The idea is to keep the browser competitive in a rapidly evolving internet landscape. As such the revamp focuses on improving privacy, usability, performance, accessibility, and customization. Key privacy features including the built-in VPN, private browsing mode, and Enhanced Tracking Protection, will be more visible and easier to manage, while users will have the option to disable AI features entirely through a dedicated kill switch. Additionally, the redesign promises faster page loading, the return of Compact mode, expanded personalization options, and stronger accessibility support. You can find the full details in the dedicated piece linked above. In a new blog post today the company once again reiterated on Nova and also emphasized other new and upcoming features like the settings revamp that is intended to make it easier for users to understand browser settings. In order to make it simpler for users to keep up with such features Mozilla today is launching Firefox roadmap. Hence enthusiasts and interested users will be able to check out what's cooking and also share feedback about the upcoming additions. Alongside the roadmap announcement, Mozilla also highlighted what's new in Firefox 152. One of the biggest additions is the arrival of Tab Groups on Android. The feature, which has already been helping desktop users organize large numbers of tabs, is now beginning to roll out on mobile. Users will be able to group related tabs together, assign names and colors to them, and return to them later. Mozilla says support for iOS will arrive later this year. Firefox 152 also introduces the aforementioned redesigned Settings experience. The company says the changes are meant to make controls easier to find and help users discover features they may not have previously known about. Existing preferences are not changing, though they are now better organized. Another notable addition is the new Blocked Tracker Widget, which provides a visual overview of Firefox's privacy protections by showing how many trackers have been blocked over time and the types of tracking activity the browser has stopped. Looking ahead, Mozilla revealed several upcoming roadmap features. They include customizable keyboard shortcuts, as well as enhanced PDF editing tools that will allow documents to be split, merged, and reorganized directly within Firefox. The company is also working on bringing Multi-Account Containers into the native Firefox experience thus removing the need for a separate extension. Meanwhile Firefox's built-in VPN is set to expand to mobile devices. Mozilla is also developing AI-powered features like Quick Answers, which can provide concise responses to voice queries, and Smart Window, its optional AI browsing experience that is now available without a waitlist. Finally, a new Power Saving Mode is in the works and will help reduce the impact of resource-heavy tabs on mobile devices in order to extend battery life. The video below summarizes the upcoming changes in an easy to understand format: You can find the announcement blog post here on Mozilla's official website.
    • Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
