Neil
Hi, I have applied for a job at a web hosting company as a tech support advisor, they have a test and will interview me. Does anyone know what the test and questions at the interview will be like? Thanks! MrA
No idea, but congrats on the first interview. The first one is always the most nerve racking. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/678508-my-first-job-interview/#findComment-589922352 Share on other sites
Shadrack
I have interviewed a lot of people for similar positions. Here is my advice: Try to be relaxed and personable. Dress nicely, but don't wear a suit. A tie is appropriate, unless wearing one will make you feel uncomfortable. You want to dress at least as well as the person conducting the interview. Make eye contact, avoid fidgeting, and don't talk too much! If you do not know the exact answer to a question, don't try to fudge it. The best response is to admit you do not know the correct answer, but have resources to get to an answer quickly. I'm more interested in knowing that someone who is in tech support is humble (and not a "know-it-all") and can still get to solutions. If you come across as being a know-it-all, then you failed at being personable.
