"Maximum activations reached"

Recommended Posts

I went to install WB through Impulse today after a reformat. Now it tells me "Maximum activations reached" when I put my serial number in the activation box  Is there a quick solution to this problem?

WB as in Windowblinds ? well I guess there anti DRM attitude only go as far as their games then.

I suppose you could do 3 thing, call or mail Stardock, tell them you paid for their product and you want to use it, and hopefully they add some activations to your account.

or just go directly to the soruce and pm FrogBoy on this forum :p unless he has turned off PM's... there's several Stardock guys on this forum though. and it would probably have helped if you refered to Windowblinds in the topic.

The activations for WindowBlinds are pretty liberal, and only "trip" when certain conditions are met. Most people will never run into an issue. If they do, it's easily resolved.

It's still seem slightly hypocritical to at one end of the podium proclaim that DRM and copy protection are evil and this product we mak doesn't have it.

and then at the othercorner sell yoru most known product with copy protection(granted I'm not sure, but I uppose the game may actually now be more well known that a customizing app that's more targetted at a smaller customer segment that gamers)

anyway off topic and besides the point, just saying. Good thing he's getting it resovled though, I never rally doubted he would as I do know SD do take care of their customers.
