[Official] Halo 3: ODST

Recommended Posts

can someone enlighten me with more details on the firefight mode? is it similar to horde on gears of war where you just fight AI enemies over and over? me and my friend gave it a go on split screen and just had no idea what the hell was going on.

Yes, sorta like Horde mode, but in this mode it will be random units, and in the higher levels random skulls will be turned on (like the enemies block stickies, more health, the normal Halo 3 skulls + a few more) and the feel is a little different - so far i've heard people like it more then gear's horde mode.

Don't think this was posted

Halo 3: ODST hits store shelves next week, and Sumthing Else Music Works is making sure you can listen to it when you can't play with the release of the Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack.

The latest chapter in the Halo saga brings with it new music composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, and Sumthing Else is ready, with a 2-disc soundtrack for the game released into the wild on September 22nd to coincide with the release of the game. According to O'Donnell, the ODST soundtrack reflects the new direction the series is taking in the game.

"I'm happy to be able to share all new compositions and recordings created for Halo 3: ODST. The music reflects the new mood, new heroes, and new story of the game. I worked with the Northwest Sinfonia for the orchestral recordings and also added some nice alto sax solos and some new guitar solos. The piano sneaks back in again a few times too, but I can't seem to help that."

The 2-disco Halo 3: ODST soundtrack will also be available at www.sumthingdigital.com and iTunes come September 22nd.

Halo soundtracks

I get to work midnight release and while I and many employees will get our copies first, We play them last :(. But I hope when I get home and crack open my new controller / game and Start it up, I will find enough friends to play firefight.

If anyone is looking for a good teammate / skilled player / someone who communicates, then Add me.

ProudSikh!

I will accept any friend request after this post. Ill be playing firefight all night, then campaign then multiplayer. Mostly firefight and campaign.

Anyway CANT WAIT!?!?

DUDE LETS DO IT. I got 2 people from work, and we are looking for awesome players. We dont give a **** if your brown purple white black, as long as you play a mean game of teamwork and cooperate or can give ideas if you dont feel like "being lead around" the whole time then DO IT. Also a mic is a plus but is not needed, but then your expected to do as one of the others say!

But thats not towards you, just people!

I also play many games, my gamerscore isnt high because I rarely play single player / campaign lmao. But ODST will be my first halo game I play Campaign, by myself. Ive always played with my crazy halo crazed friend but never cared about campaign till now. New Mumbasa FTW!

Anyway moarrrr peoplessss

DVD 1 has the Campaign and Firefight mode.

DVD 2 has everything else.

So unless you want to play Firefight everything you want multiplayer wise is on DVD2, Firefight might even be on DVD2 (as well as DVD1).

I?m sure someone here could let us know.

The first disc containing the campaign mode as well as the firefight co-op mode, while the second disc will contain the multiplayer mode with the complete set of Halo 3 maps

Put simply,

first disk = Halo3:ODST

2nd disk = Halo3 multiplayer + all DLC

DVD 1 = Campaign

DVD 2 = Three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps , including all original Halo 3 maps, as well as the ?Legendary,? ?Heroic,? and ?Mythic? Map packs for a total of 24 maps. All this content must be installed to HD.

How can you say that without having played it yourself? =P

Well now I can say my sisters BF may have given in and obtained this by nefarious means and may think it's nothing special and still doesn't elevate it above typical-console-shooter for him (& me - but we're both big PC gamers, he likes UT1 and I loved CS/CoD2) and is one for the fans as it won't win anyone else over.

I still think it's going to get verbal *******s from the press as you'd expect. I'm sure MS would be a tad stroppy with publishers about future exclusives if they didn't. :)

Only 3 new maps?

This is a 1000g point game right?

Wtf will those achievements consist of if its all o:p content? :p

So, I only have to pop in DVD2 once right? then I can play the contents of that DVD using the harddrive/DVD1 ri:ot? right? :o
