Fallout 3 review copy leaks

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to send all the pirates scurrying to check their "high level" sources to enquire the validity of the leak... just to come back running saying "FAKE" "MY SOURCES HAVE NOTHING", etc, etc :p

thanks for getting me excited for nothing

worked on one :p

piracy is new? i remember swapping disks at school circa 1984. i mean even Matthew Broderick was a youngster back then. it was just a slow news day for kotaku. i mean all formats, all games...there's always a pirate copy. makes buying even more gratifying.

Well the newsworthy factor of this is that it's a "review copy" and within the last week there's been a lot of "review copies" leaked all of a sudden. Others include Saints Row 2, NBA 2K9, Fracture, and Blitz the League 2. The real question is who's doing the leaking of the "review copies". Anyone with a brain and enjoys playing on XBL should stay away from them until real retail is out.

When did the Tokyo Game Show start?

People are playing it online with no problems at all.

Like I said, as long as you sign out and/or disconnect the console while the disk is in, nothing will happen.

MS usually ollects info and do batch bans later though.

Also even if you play offline, your console is still recording achievements wich gets shown online when you reconnect. unless you create a dummy account to play it. Even then for all we know the console could be reporting to MS what other accounts has been doing on it while it was offline.

And that is the pretty big IF question right there.

We'll find out one day I'm sure. Still, I don't see why people are making it sound like MS would be out more than usual to catch people pirating it. It's not their game and they wouldn't give it the attention anymore than Bomberman Zero being pirated (ok well maybe not that bad :p). You know what I mean though. This isn't Halo 3 we're talking about, which they would no doubt put a massive effort into banning people, and that's exactly what they did ;)

lol how is this thread still alive?
Why wouldn't it be? Nobody is breaking any rules :s

No just skirting them talking about pirated releases and actual scene stuff on the first and second pages. I'm not saying we have to have a zero tolerance policy for talking about this kind of stuff, but it only perpetuates more "scene" discussion, which we all know where that leads.

Well ..... no body is telling where to download it or talking about the game and spoiling it, me and Audioboxer joked about false pirate releases (no..... obviously Far Cry 2 isn't out there  ) and that's all, anyway like I've said in the opening post delete it if it offends anyone (Y)

As long as no links are posted or any members posts details of taking in part pirating it, the topic is ok from what I've seen before on Neowin.

Not like there is much more to say on the matter, the game has leaked. Nothing else. We have an official topic to discuss the game in

(Y) DrunknMunky, well said, there's an official topic, period. This is a game I'm buying and that means a lot to me :p

actually I got warned a long time ago for saying I was playing a game that wasn't released yet....I disagree with the warning.....especially when I see a thread like this

Well then it was right to remove it (not sure it deserves a warn though). Like I said though, taking part in discussion that you have a game pirated (like other members who have posted pictures of pirated games) isn't allowed.

It's another one of Neowin's double standards at the end of the day. As long as you don't say anything about where you got it, it's ok to discuss it afaik.

I know, it just feels like some people endorse it and others make shady comments and it gets out of hand one way or another.

Nobody is saying they're playing it.

well there was one... but that post and a few replies sems mysteriusly gone :p

Thankfully the mods now are getting better at cleaning this "gray area" posts so things don't get out of hand easily.

That's probably because this topic discusses actualnews about the game, or surrounding game.

meanwhile the other topic won't get many posts untill the game releases, unless all the pirates want to talk publically about their pirting and get warnings and lots of deleted posts :p

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Finally we can whole-heartedly recommend the AMD 9070 GRE thanks to this discount by Sayan Sen Earlier this month at Computex 2026 AMD released the Radeon RX 9070 GRE for a global audience. We reviewed the GPU and it scored 8 out of 10 for gaming and 7.5 out of 10 for productivity including things like AI performance. The card launched for $550 which we thought was a bit on the higher side, though currently you are getting the chance to get the Gigabyte Gaming variant of the GPU for just $500 thanks to this discount (purchase link under the specs table down below). As such we can finally whole-heartedly recommend this GPU. The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specs of the Gigabyte Gaming RX 9070 GRE OC is given in the table below: Specification Value Boost Clock Up to 2920 MHz Game Clock Up to 2340 MHz Stream Processors 3072 Memory Clock 18 Gbps Memory Size 12 GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 192-bit Memory Bandwidth 432 GB/s Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Max Resolution 7680 × 4320 Max Displays (Multi-view) 4 Card Dimensions 288 × 132 × 50 mm (L × W × H) Recommended Power Supply 700 W Power Connectors 2 × 8-pin Display Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB GDDR6 GPU (GV-R907GREGAMING OC-12GD): $549.99 + $50 discount with promo code in mail => $499.99 (Sold and Shipped by Newegg US) This Newegg deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. This is a first-party seller link (at the time of article publishing); ensure that you also purchase from a first-party seller link only.
