The source stated that the WBA is taking this action ?Due to the respect for the opinion of the fans and the media.? Valuev (50-1, 34 KOs) retained his title with a majority decision over legendary ex-champion Holyfield (42-10-2, 27 KOs). Scores were 114-114, 115-114, and 116-112. After the decision was announced, Holyfield received applause from Swiss crowd, while Valuev was notably booed.
