Samoa
woo hoo! I like your specs. It's amazing that I have a 2400 Athlon XP 2.0gig @ 266FSB. The funny thing is I found out the real nominal clock speed is actually 2.133gig @266FSB. So it is interesting yours is 2.133gig @333FSB. I find it interesting that my processor is underclocked lower than it's optimal clock speed. But I do wonder if that 333FSB makes a big difference, when I can run mine at 2.133 also. Inciddentally, we have basically the same board from a different maker and one of our hardrives are the same, both have same video card but different maker. slim73
yea i got my geforcefx about a couple of weeks ago.... i have been saving up for one ever since it was announced in nov. lol it costed about $450... hella expensive but im a big nvidia fan... and im happy with it. i have yet to see a game that brings it to its knees with 2xaa and 4xaf 1600x1200
Joswin
Im currentley in a toss-up between my Nvidia loyalty and a ATi Radeon 9800 PRO :/ its a tough choice actually. As much as i see the benchmarks and IQ comparisons of the FX/9x00 i can't quite get the feeling out of the back of my mind that Nvida are just stalling right now until they get the drivers sorted (even with non final drivers the FX puts up a very good show against the 9800). The dawn demo alone is a rather good peek at its potential - i believe that 'technically' the FX is still more advanced than the 9800 as well too so.... as the NV35 will be based off its technology its not as though the features are going to never be used and never implimented by games developers. ******e now im talking myself back into the FX :| lol I actually deliberatley left the graphics card in my system till last as i couldnt make up my mind.. and im still debating it lol. I've had all Nvidia cards so far except for one SIS card. The SIS did good though. But the Geforce4 kicked butt. Hi Silly_Walk, good to see you joined in. I agree as long as the machine works it's good. Proprietary is not bad. If I were to buy I'd be gettin a Dell dude. :D
