UK Work Experience...

Last year I tried to get work experience in a game development studio (I know, every geek kid wants to write games when they grow up) but everywhere I asked rejected me due to time pressures/deadlines. I thought this year I'd widen the net and look for somewhere to do with general software design/development and I was basically wondering if any of you kind people could help me out. I realise most will read this and it will have no relevance but I'm hoping that perhaps someone might work in/know of a place where I could get a placement in the South-East of England. I'm in Oxford but can easily get to London and probably other places too. I'm really looking for something in late June, early July 2009.

I wanted to work in a game studio as I have a budding interest in programming (learning JAVA at school and know a little C++) and games seem an exciting way to apply that skill, but, as I mentioned, any Software Development would interest me. If anyone has any advice please offer it and PM if you want a CV (don't really want to post it on a public forum...)
