Widescreen Help

I just purchased a wide panel LCD and on the home page, I get a section with text not printing next to the banner. I have attached a screenshot. Is there a setting for wide panels or something similar? I hope I am explaining it right, I am not feeling well and my brains are scrambled. Here is the screen:

This is because Neowin is a fluid design and not fixed, we have taken into account the smallest supported screens but anything above it simply cant be accounted for easily.
