Here you go :) only tweak is the border padding was set to 0.

As you can see it's pretty good but not perfect. It is though an excellent base to work from.

Interesting, would it be possible to add transparency to theme itself then?

Scirwode

OK, I took the plunge, and now, I need to know a few things. Does this program patch your uxtheme.dll or do you still have to do that manually, also, when you go to test your theme, does it replace the theme currently in use, or does it just show it in that controls preview window?

Having used TGTSoft StyleBuilder under XP I was hoping for the same type of interface for VSB. Unless I am missing something the GUI is pretty rudimentary. Not much in the way of visualizing your changes on the fly the way SB does.

Maybe future updates will make it more to my liking. I don't consider it a waste of $$$ as it will give me something to play with.

idas (or a mod) it'd be better to use an up to date image. Rather than one that's probably during the first builds.

If you have questions on how to add certain parts email me at [email protected]

For those who might be wondering what all you can do, here's a little fun gathering of things I created while I had free time from bug testing and naming things for it.

Me [idas] had decide to give that original screenshot from the official Ave's style buider image page, existed on http://www.vistastylebuilder.com/screenshots/main.png .

So now i give you the image of my personal version i have bought from Andreas, and which i have add [the screenshot] replacing also on first page of this topic.

If any other comments about this , please reffer it , as my purpose is only to advertise Andrea's work without asking or want anything, but because i having spent 2 years of my life on code modifications, i understand and feell how important and great is this program Ave made.

And as Archannon Says:

” . . . Andreas has spent countless hours hand crafting a tool that will allow us to create art to customize our personal computers. Also, this tool is not on a per person basis, but a per artist basis. This means that one good artist buying this program will make many, many, many people happy . . .

This work is not easy of making and we respect Andreas efforts.

There are not many who can make this. And ofcource must be paid for.

We can not complain about 16.50 euros, money , for a WORK that give us the possibility making our personal theme, doing so REAL personalization of the looking of our computer system windows vista os.

I have been starting to work on ideas for a visual style, probably not for release, but as an experiment, and I was wondering if anyone could explain why the GROUPBOX cannot be resized from its 5x6 pixel size, where other controls can?

What are you trying to change it to? I was able to change it just fine.

this looks great [for modders]

is it possible to load in some classic xp themes and vista them up with some transparency? i can see lots of great themes if that's possible! :)

has anyone created anything with it yet?

The only theme created from it so far is my Longhorn M7 theme.

Here is a port of CleanGlass which I've started working on. Notice yes you can very easily add transparency :)

Here's a little something for you.

It adds transparency support to the programs list in the start menu.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
