The ending is funny :p

Eww her dad

LMFAO! For the first one: why the heck is Bill saying Zoey

First the TF2 heavy+someone clips then these

After paying $60 for Half-Life 2, and having sit through a 5 hour install process, I will never again buy or play a Valve game.

Yes, it was that aggravating.

If you did that for the initial release of Half Life 2... that was four years ago. No surprise that on its release their servers were being raped to hell and back.

Item 1: All Valve titles on steam

Item 2: Half-Life 2

To start off, there is no Steam SKU that is priced at $60 which contains HL2, the most expensive being the complete pack at $99. Secondly HL2 is priced at $19.99.

Therefore you must of purchased retail, in which case you got massively ripped-off. That or you're only claiming to have paid $60 and you pirated the game, which would be a possible explanation to how you spent "5 hours" installing the game.

If you did buy a legal retail copy, then i suggest you take it up with the retailer you bought it from.

That, or this is a very poorly executed trolling attempt. That's all the possibilities i can think of so far.

^^ He probably got Half Life 2 on release back in fall 2004, which back then I can see how it may have cost $60. Also add that HL2's launch was plagued with Steam problems.

Ah, i suppose that's true thinking back.

What i still don't understand is the need to "Rain on this thread's parade" by bringing something up from 2004. :/

Would anyone be up for some Neowin Versus this weekend? ( Xbox 360 )

Count me in on possibly Saturday afternoon and/or at some point Sunday afternoon.

The first time massiveterra played versus was also my first time as well as we were playing together with 6 of his friends, and I definitely have to say although I am not as super impressed as he is as I happen to think CoOp is really fun too, I thoroughly did enjoy versus a whole damn lot. Honestly the best absolute way to enjoy versus is playing people you know, so if we can get 8 people to do a 4 vs 4, that is definitely the way to play it.

Anyone up for some L4D on Steam? Been playing a bit and love it. Be great to share the experience with some fellow Neowinians!

Maybe next month, when I'll (hopefully) get this game.

Would someone please be so kind to spam this thread endlessly when Valve runs a discount sale for L4D? :)

You know, I'm really peeved that I can't buy anything from Steam due to my location :hmmm: .

Scirwode

get the 4 pack. you pay less money.

Uhh.. no go. Good luck finding three others to split the cost with... well in my case. Everyone likes to pirate :/

Usually around the week of Christmas Steam has a storewide discount on games, so I'll wait until then...

    • The consumer ESU is ending in 4 months. LTSC isn't now, never has been, and never will be for consumer use, it is for OT usage - plant machinery, medical devices, manufacturing equipment etc. LTSC requires a Microsoft EA. You can't legally obtain LTSC to run on your PC at home.
    • Hmm actually looks decently interesting!
    • Being on GitHub doesn't make something safe. Like any unofficial scripts to do x or y this caters to people with just enough knowledge to be dangerous. If you want to do what this does, and you actually know what you're doing then write your own script (or maybe just add the reg keys yourself) if you don't have the ability to read and understand what a script is doing, and especially don't run it with elevated privileges. Or in this case just use an MSA, sign up the normal route, and stop trying to push water up hill
