Maybe i'd throw in the 135mm DC lens too. I've used the D700 and 35mm f/2 and I liked it.

For something I would love to actually use, it's got to be a Leica M8 and a 5D II, for bodies.

As for lenses, just for sheer excess, its got to be the Canon 1200mm f/5.6L EF USM Autofocus Lens :p

The Nikon D3 and Nikon D700 are essentially the same camera. The only difference is the form factor (D700 is larger).

Both lenses have their pros. Defocus Control on the older model to control back and front out of focus in macro shots. And VR on the new model is good to have as a walk around lens.
